Me and trees. A thought, torn loose:

I can’t deny it. Even though I spend 90% of my life inside my apartment, writing about forests and mountains, I am hopelessly, helplessly, in love with nature.

I love ruins and castles too, walking around and pretending to own the place, but nature has a magic that overshadows the constructions of men.

It has an effortlessness about it. A wild glare. An undemanding and timeless beauty, and a non existing need to please. Nature isn’t pliant or comfortable, and yet it is entirely accessible -if you’re willing to go look for it.

I find myself dreaming of leaves. Of meadows and mounts and oceans. I find myself yearning for them, wanting to write them love letters, like I would to a faraway friend.

I cannot wait until I get to buy that house in the woods. One with trees and alps and lakes right outside my window, and I can’t wait until I can open the door and invite my friend in for breakfast.
