Flash Fiction Friday!
It’s that time again, folks - the best time of the week!
It’s Flash Fiction Friday!
This week’s event is hosted by @bookenders. Oh, hey, that’s ME!
Let’s get this party started!
Woah, hold on, what’s all this flash business? And how do I do it?
In the words of the incomparable @cawolters, original host of this event:
It’s a fun writer-event that’s meant to inspire, share and connect writings of all genres and writers of all ages. It’s designed to make people want to write, especially if they’re feeling blocked.
So you wanna participate? Great! Here’s what you need to know -
The Official FFF Guidelines:
- Write between 100-1000 words. It can be a scene as well as a stand-alone story. 18+ is okay! Fanfic is okay! Original work is okay! Go nuts!
- Use this Friday’s theme in your text. Any way you see fit!
- Post it on your blog and remember to tag @cawolters and @bookenders so we can marvel at your lovely writing!
- Deadline hits when it’s no longer Friday in your part of the world!
- And then next Friday your work will be mentioned in a showcase post!
Last Weeks prompt (hosted by the wonderful @pheita) was:
And here are all of our incredible participants! (Let me know if I missed you and I’ll add your name and story to the list.)
LOOK AT ALL THOSE BEAUTIFUL WRITERS!
Thank you all so much for joining us last week! You’re all amazing!
And now, without further ado -
This week’s prompt is
What’s on the shelf? How long has it been there? What are its limits? How long is it usable? What kind of life does it lead? What is it? Is it alive? Is there even a shelf?
Grab your pens, pencils, keyboards, chalk, dark ritual materials, and don’t be afraid to get twisty with it!
On your marks, get set, WRITE! 😄
[Tag List (admittedly not the most recent one) under the cut!]
