also something that bugs me: people act like von karma forced edgeworth to become a prosecutor. he did not! edgeworth saw what hammond did to yanni yogi and how his father's murderer was allowed to walk free and unpunished and grew alienated thanks to that, not through von karma forcing him to become one. in the anime, von karma gives him the explicit choice between becoming a prosecutor or a defense attorney, and edgeworth chooses to become a prosecutor of his own will. sure von karma manipulated edgeworth's understanding of what happened during dl-6, but he by no means forced edgeworth to study under him. not only is it the true version of events, but i also plain find it more interesting, and von karma clearly did too if That One Piece of Dialogue from aai is anything to go by.

Now, was Manfred Von Karma partially responsible for Edgeworth becoming the kind of prosecutor that he did? Yeah, I'd say. Edgeworth wanted to punish criminals, punish himself, but he learned how to do it from MVK. That's something I blame the old man for - but it seems this was something he did with his biological children too, so it's unclear how much of that was actual revenge on Gregory.
Horses are powerful creatures, elegant yet fast, strong yet precise and dangerous when wild. However, like cheetahs, they are nervous creatures that are easily spooked. Prone to lashing out, not out of malice but preemptive fear.
