I only just noticed his matching socks!
plot twist Chris Colfer plays a character that actually ends up going to their first choice college
The thing that makes me sob with joy over this ep, and basically Kurt’s POV, is that a lot of this was caused because Kurt is so certain in his love for Blaine, and the stability of their relationship. It has never once crossed his mind that they wouldn’t be doing the long-distance thing. That they wouldn’t be fine. They’d Skype, and Blaine would visit every weekend (I love this because so many fics are like OMG Blaine and Kurt won’t see each other for a YEAR, and Glee is like, LOL no, Kurt fully intends to make certain Blaine takes a bus/train/plane out to see him every Friday afternoon-Sunday) and then Blaine would be in New York, and married legally by thirty.
So it never crosses Kurt’s mind to not go on and on about NYADA and New York—their future home—because he has no reason to doubt. He can’t even comprehend the doubting until Blaine’s laying it all out there that no, you’re going off without me and everything is going to be new (and OMG that moment when Blaine is saying “brand new life, brand new friends, brand new… everything”, and you just know he’s thinking “boyfriend” right there and he can’t say it, and fuck that hurts) and I’m going to be alone. The astonishment in Kurt’s eyes because not once had he even entertained the thought that his leaving for New York would be in any way a problem for them.
This entire episode just said so much about how neither Blaine or Kurt imagines being with anyone other than each other. Blaine laid it out there by calling Kurt the love of his life, and Kurt never anticipated there being a problem because of course he and Blaine are going to spend the rest of their lives together.
My boys. Hopefully from here on out they’ll remember how important communication is between them, no matter how much it hurts.

Cue up “Graduation (Friends Forever)” by Vitamin C (which the Glee kids will hopefully cover later this season to send off seniors Kurt, Rachel, and Finn) and flip through the Official William McKinley High School Yearbook! It may look like a regular yearbook on the outside, but apparently McKinley gossip columnist Jacob Ben Israel had full editorial control, since the theme is — not surprisingly — all glee club all the time. The book hits stores July 3 from Hachette, but in the meantime, EW has an exclusive peek at the cover, spreads on Rachel and Blaine, some fun “Most Likely To…” pages, a very helpful “Hookup Chart,” and more. Read on, and H.A.G.S.! (X)
Kurt Hummel in performances:
