s3 blaine: i am going to transfer to mckinley so kurt and i can spend every minute of every day together in senior year and have tons of college storylines because im on board for new york as well and its all gonna be swell!
glee: lol no you're a junior and you barely have any storylines with kurt or even any actual storylines for yourself and spend three-fourth of the season singing pointlessly.
s4 blaine: well okay so kurt left and i feel really alone and there was some foreshadowing of long-distance relationship troubles but thats okay! we'll breakup for some relationship drama but then we can get back together soon because we're best friends and we'd never stay broken up and i will be graduating soon anyway! yay college plans!
glee: you cheat on the love of your life conveniently removing any need for us to give any actual plot development on the klaine front for most of the season. also your senior year is going to be one and a half years or more but you dont get any college or future plotlines. at all. except for one sentence said in passing. actually giving college plotlines is overrated, and anyway we are not gonna let you graduate anytime soon lol we'll figure it out later
s5 blaine: well you cant possibly keep me here for longer than this season. i guess the reason i didnt get any college storylines was because im going to go into performance just like kurt and rachel and it would get redundant? so its okay let me just get to new york to my new fiance, that'll do! id love to be at the same college as kurt, i told him i want to apply there!
glee: you are going to be a doctor!!! congrats!!! we read tons of fanfic and since so many of those think doctor is an awesome profession for you and since that one time you said something vague about helping people while you were half drunk we're gonna put in a flashback three seconds before graduation and make you a doctor! who cares about the fact that you canonically acknowledged you feel like music is the only way you can express yourself sometimes. who cares about making people pursue their passion on a show that is about people pursuing their passion. we are making it realistic~~~. just like cheating is realistic. you are going to be the holy device through which we deliver realism to this show!!!
glee: at least we're letting you live in the same state as your fiance and probably giving you more queerbaity storylines with your straight best friend, be grateful.
