Whatever will the remaining members of New Directions do without Finn and Rachel?

It’s not as though any of them have experience in leadership roles or singing lead for a glee club or other performances!

Artie - several directing gigs, sang lead for ND countless times, including season 2 Nationals and season 3 Sectionals and Regionals.

Tina - sang lead for ND season 3 Sectionals and Nationals.

Blaine - Was leader (if unofficial) and front man of the Warblers, lead of the school play, sang lead for ND season 3 Sectionals, Regionals, and Nationals.

Sam - sand lead for ND season 2 Sectionals and season 3 Sectionals.

Brittany - sang lead for ND at two school assemblies and season 2 Nationals and season 3 Regionals, danced lead several times, including season 2 Sectionals.

Hell, Sugar technically founded The Troubletones.

It’s such unnecessary propping up of Finn and Rachel and once again rewriting history in order to make them seem more awesome.

Along with the fact that the remaining kids have plenty of examples of times where they’ve taken the lead and shown leadership without needing Finn and/or Rachel to hold their hands, it’s not even the most logical direction to go.  There are so many natural issues that the remaining choir room members would face: figuring out the new leadership structure, recruiting new members, figuring out who they are as a group in terms of sound or style, or working out the growing pains of getting used to their new members.  But instead they’re not going to know what to do with themselves now that Finn and Rachel aren’t around to hog solos, and they’re maybe going to crack under the pressure of leadership?

Not only is it really insulting to those characters, but newsflash, half the time Finn and Rachel were actually terrible, terrible leaders, and personally I’ll be happy to see the backside of their “co-captain” time.
