Day 2- Family

All his life, Fives had never been alone.

Really, this was true for every clone. They were all brought up in tight quarters, sharing everything with millions of other brothers on Kamino. They died on the battlefield surrounded by their brothers. Loneliness was not a concept clones normally experienced or understood.

And it was especially true for Fives. He’d had someone by his side from the very beginning. Even before he was decanted, he’d had the steady presence of Echo. He may not remember his earliest moments and years, but for as far back as he could remember, it had been one of those unshakable truths: the Jedi are a strange lot of people, the Separatists and Republic are at war, and Fives will always be with Echo.

Every step of the way, they’d been together. Decanted from the same tube, a rare case of clone twins. Side-by-side through their cadet cycles, training on Kamino, their first assignments after graduating. Every step of the way, he’d had Echo, his longest and truest friend. They’d survived losing the rest of their batchmates together. Survived the assault on Kamino and 99’s death. Gone through the hell that was ARC training together. It had felt like he’d always have him by his side, like whatever hell the war threw at them, they’d get through it if they did it together.  

He should have known it was a foolish thought.

Ladies and gents, fellow people of the galaxy, citizens of the Republic here we are! The main post for the most exciting week in 2020 is here.

Fives Week 2020 have started as a random thought to celebrate the Best Boy™, the one we all will love forever, the one that stole my heart since the start, the one that was able to save lives even if he wasn’t there.

So what is it all about?

First of all the main theme: Love and everything in between. 

I thought it would be only fitting for the celebration i had in mind. Love is what moves us all and love is the best feeling and the worst that inspires all of us to create, so why don’t use it to for our beloved ARC-trooper? The list will be composed of single word prompts for each day, purposefully done to be used by writers and artists at the same time. I want everyone to be able to enjoy these days as much as possible, this is not a challenge but a way to express ourselves.

Thanks to @angelwars11​ @captain-fives​ @morganas-pendragons​ for the help and the suggestions 

So onto the rules, few but quite easy: 

Writers: you can write about everything and anything. From the sweetest heartbreaking fluff to the angriest nasty angst (NSFW too if you feel up to just tag it properly) from relationships to friendships. You can write small drabbles, oneshots, headcanons and multichapter. (just use the “read more” option if it has more than 1k words) and use any trope you love. Love is such a universal word so be free and have fun (just no Clonecest, thank you for avoiding it) 

also..there is a collection on Ao3 under the name Fives Week 2k20 -HERE- where all of you will be able to post your stories there too. (It is open and unmoderated)

Artists: same rules applied. You can create anything your mind and the words i give you suggest, can use any style you like, go wild, i’ll appreciate. Aside from artworks, moodboards/aesthetics and editing will be highly appreciated.

Reminder: these Prompts are general so you all can use them however you want. + there will be a bonus word to use anytime you want, even combined with the “word of the day” 

Given that, you can choose to participate each day or just on the day you prefer most, this is entirely up to you. 

When you all can start to post your works? 

All the works must be posted starting from June 1st using the tag #fivesweek2020 so it will easier for me to like and reblog all of you. You can also tag me to help track your entries.
