This is the real moment right here when Amity fell off her throne. Imagine what it would be like being one of her classmates at this moment. Amity Blight, a straight-A student who has never once stepped out of line, suddenly LEAPS ON A TABLE, yanks an abomination out of its cauldron, and starts screaming at it at the top of her lungs. To everyone in the cafeteria, it looked like Amity completely lost her mind.
what the FUCK is going on with hooty in this picture
I get the vibe that Gus is more popular than Willow was at the beginning of the series, what do you think?
People certainly love Gus! He’s very wholesome and energetic and I see why some like that so much. I think that Willow is now more popular than he is, because Willow got a backstory episode. As for whether Gus is more popular now than Willow was at the start, I’m not really sure. I saw a lot of fans fall in love with both characters after I Was a Teenage Abomination. I think it’s possible that some people are giving Gus a lot of love to compensate for the fact that we don’t have a ton of canon information about him yet. I like both Gus and Willow, but I’m a bigger fan of Willow personally. Thanks for the ask!
It’s obvious from the first time we meet Willow that she has no desire to be in abominations. She also possesses little talent for it. So why did her parents force her to take that track? (I don’t think they actually forced her. From what we’ve seen, Willow seems to have loving parents. I’m guessing they encouraged Willow to take abominations in such a way that would make her feel guilty for saying no.)
The exact quote is “And my parents are right. There are better opportunities on this track.” What exactly are the better opportunities on this track? Is there something special that makes the Abomination Coven better than the others? If so, that could explain why Amity is in abominations. Her parents would want her to be in the best track.
However, we haven’t seen anything yet that implies that any one coven is superior to the others (except, of course, the Emperor's Coven). So let’s assume for a moment that there’s nothing objectively better about the abomination track. Is it possible that Willow’s parents wanted her to be in abominations because they have history with the Blights?
Since Understanding Willow, I’ve wondered if it’s possibly that the Park parents and the Blight parents have some issues from the past. It’s possible that Willow just didn’t fall into the “select few” that Blights associate with, but the abomination track thing could mean there's more to the story.
Imagine that one day, 5 year old Willow comes home crying after she got kicked out of Amity’s party. She tells her dads that Amity doesn’t want to be her friend anymore because she’s not good enough at magic. Willow’s parents comfort her, but secretly they’re pissed. They already have beef with the Blight parents, and now Amity is treating their daughter like shit? They don’t tell Willow, but secretly they think about what great revenge it would be if Willow, after being told she wasn’t good enough by Amity, went to school in Amity’s track and bested her in it. It would humiliate the Blights.
It’s not conclusive evidence, but I think it’s a distinct possibility.
i love this photo, because every single person in it has a different but equally chaotic expression on their face
