How I feel about this character: I like Mabel, and I really feel like I relate to her in a lot of ways.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I like Mabcifica a lot. DIpcifica and Mabcifica are raging a constant battle in my head for which ship involving Pacifica is better.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Mabel and Dipper will always be an incredible and inseparable team. I love this duo so much.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I see people saying that Mabel didn’t change much over the series or didn’t have as good of an arc as the other character. I disagree. I think Mabel changed and improved a lot that summer.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish that we had gotten more interaction between Pacifica and Mabel once they were no longer rivals. Whether or not you ship them, I would have liked to see them interact as friends.

How I feel about this character: Dipper’s my favorite Gravity Falls character! I relate to him a lot, he’s smart and funny, and he’s a very complex and interesting person. Overall, I’m a fan.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I switch in between shipping Wendip and Dipcifica. There’s things I like about both. At this very moment, I would say I’m leaning towards Dipcifica.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I have to go with the Mystery Twins. At the end of the day, they do make a great team.

My unpopular opinion about this character: Dipper did absolutely nothing wrong in Roadside Attraction. What kind of person talks to a boy for five minutes, give him her phone number, and then instantly assumes that they’re dating and he can't talk to any other girls? Those girls should have been apologizing, not Dipper.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I understand that the reason that this didn't happen was because it would get dark really fast, but I wish that we saw how the events of Sock Opera affected Dipper in the long run. I imagine the experience just have been traumatizing, and I wish we got to see him struggle with that. It’s another thing I’ve considered writing a fanfic about.

How I feel about this character: Soos is hilarious and brings a certain life to the show. Even though he’s not one of the most important characters in terms of plot, I don’t think the show would be as good without him.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I really can’t think of one. I guess I don’t really see any Soos-related discourse.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: In Weirdmageddon, Soos mentions that the townfolk have written some folk songs about him. I would kill to hear one of the folk songs they wrote about Soos.

It really does warm my heart that Grunkle Stan withheld himself from swearing around other people. I don't know if he trained himself not to swear just for Mabel and Dipper when he knew that they were coming to town or if he always monitors his language for Soos and Wendy’s sake, but the idea that this grumpy old man took so much care to watch his language in order to not corrupt the innocent youngsters just makes me love Stan all the more.

It makes sense that Stan wouldn’t like Gideon from the start. After all, they are business rivals, and Gideon made a commercial that called Stan a fraud. However, banning everybody who lives in The Mystery Shack from going anywhere near The Tent of Telepathy seemed like a very extreme move for just being business rivals. It honestly seems more like Stan to send Dipper and Mabel to spy on Gideon and get information to ruin his name in retaliation. So why did Stan forbid them from going near him?

Here’s what I think: Stan has seen a lot a weird stuff in Gravity Falls, things that he would have previously thought to be impossible. Although Stan had never met a real psychic before, he couldn’t ignore the possibility that Gideon actually was psychic. And if Gideon had the power to read minds, that could be very bad for Stan. He had major secrets that he needed to keep from his family and everyone else in Gravity Falls, and even if he was 90% sure that Gideon was fake, he couldn’t take any chances, so he forbade Dipper and Mabel from going anywhere near The Tent of Telepathy. Once he had enough information to realize that Gideon had to be a fraud, he lifted the rule.

Okay, I may be crazy, but listen closely to the harmony vocals in this song, especially around 0:19 and 1:18. Is it just me, or does that sound like Jason Ritter (aka Dipper)?

I have no idea if that’s actually Jason. It would be super cool if Disney managed to get Jason to come back and sing this song with Kristen Schaal, but I’m more interested in how this worked out in the Gravity Falls universe. The image of Mabel forcing Dipper, who does NOT like to sing in front of people, to record background vocals for her love song is not only hilarious but is also a super Mabel thing to do. I can envision that happening in an actual episode of Gravity Falls. So, even if that isn’t Jason Ritter, I’m gonna imagine that it is Dipper singing those background parts. Just to fill the Gravity Falls-shaped hole in my heart.

And also, imagine the crushing weight of his guilt after he realized that he was yelling at Mabel to push the button, which would have kept Ford trapped in another dimension. Have you read Journal 3 and Lost Legends? There's some "Dipcifica" stuff in there.

I’ve read Lost Legends, but I haven’t been able to get a physical copy of Journal 3 so I’ve only been able to read the segments of it I can find online.

I’ve gotten a few comments about this, so perhaps I didn’t phrase my post about Dipcifica very well. I don’t mean to deny that Dipcifica is canon. It is. After all, a cryptogram in the recent Amphibia/Gravity Falls crossover read “DIPCIFICA 4 LYFE.” I just think that the rest of the episodes after Northwest Mansion Mystery indicated that Dipper didn’t have a crush on Pacifica. Both Roadside Attraction and Weirdmageddon Part 1 seem to indicate that Dipper is not over Wendy, which I also think is what’s most likely to happen. Even once you get rejected, crushes can be hard to get over, and Dipper seemed to fall for Wendy pretty hard. There is definitely some canon Dipcifica content, I just feel like there is very little of it actually in the show, and what there is seemed to come out of nowhere. Hope this clarifies some things.
