hi! this took me a while but these are all about pirates or include nautical elements! haven’t read all of these but i’ve heard good things! :)

to kill a kingdom, seafire, dark shores, these rebel waves, the glass spare, daughter of the pirate king, the gentleman’s guide to vice and virtue, a darker shade of magic, 

whi! this is very fun! i had a bit of a tough time choosing five because i’m ever evolving so i tend to be a little nit-picky about older edits! but, this seems like such a fun meme! 1. we all carry our sins, nina.

this idea came to me during one of my many rewatches of fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, and i felt like the six deadly sins concept would go really well with the dregs, since they all are such interesting, albeit very imperfect characters. while i probably would execute this differently now, i really like the concept of the edit and the comments i received on this are wonderful! :)

2. the kohaku river / eating hearts

i’m putting these two together because they’re part of a ghibli series i’m working on! i really enjoy making animation graphics because there’s just a lot you can do with them. i particularly really enjoy the bright color schemes and transforming them into lineart! 

3. princesses don’t marry kitchen boys

another animation graphic! this one is kind of on the older side, but i still like how this one turned out. you can kind of see i like to use the same fonts in my older edits until i get bored of them! anyway, this is also one of those ‘i really enjoyed coloring this’ situations. i like the warm tones this movie has (purples, reds, yellows) so this was such a treat!

4. you knew i was a snake when you picked me up.

i like this one because it kind of represents my current taste in editing? i’m relatively minimalistic when it comes to my editing and graphics, but i like it if graphics tell a certain story and if there’s cohesiveness. these ones all fit within the same color scheme and make use of very gritty and witchy quotes from the book which is what i tried to convey, i guess? i think this one reflects my current preferences the best!

5. wolves were everywhere;

i also consider this one a slightly older one just because i don’t really edit like this anymore. i really like how every single panel is very different, but the colors bring it together nicely? this is such a unique color scheme and i’ve also gotten such lovely comments on this one so thank you!
