I like how after the first “emotionally dependent” scene he was trying to brush it off but then something Sonic related happened AGAIN and he was just there like

trying to process both watching Sonic (kind of) die AND the fact that dream and the hallucination are definitely related.

His subconscious keeps the concept of Sonic being close to him tucked away to keep himself sane. The emotional connection Flash had with Sonic have made him stronger (more stable) yet more vulnerable (manipulatable). But it’s not something he had any choice in or could do without, despite being raised for it and trying his damn best to lol. Even just the concept of it and being close with someone was a necessity.

the plot hole with his self esteem is because genos has rsd. boom. anything can be solved with an autistic headcanon and enough copium 💪💪

i know i need to wait for the translation to see if it’s reeeally going in the exact direction of the webcomic but huh? how are you just gonna resolve an entire character arc and uhhhh pretend it didn’t happen? what i liked about manga v webcomic was that they were two different adaptions with different character interpretations. kinda disappointed here.

OHHHHH recent opm chapter was so crazy. I love seeing more Fubuki and Tatsumaki background. I’m noticing that Fubuki and Ritsu are very similar.

Both have a stronger esper older sibling that is protective and acted violently in front of them (at least) once as kids. Both fear that sibling. Both developed their powers based on that fear. They have massive inferiority complexes about it despite individually being strong. They make an effort to hold powerful positions to overcompensate and end up hurting people (Ritsu and the student council, Fubuki and her B-class mafia). These characters both have an air of loneliness about them. They feel trapped and suffocated and see no escape. Although, through the story they start to accept themselves.

Ritsu and Fubuki parallels. Yeah.
