Let’s say you wanted to glue fabric to wood, but what do you use? What about glass to paper? This to That lets you choose two things you want to glue and lists what types of glue is best. (Because people have a need to glue things to other things!)

This is an incredibly awesome site.  Go check it out!

EVERYONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS

This is one of the first websites I was told about in props. It also has information about the toxicity, adhere time, price, and other stuff about the glues.

Chibi Foliage Guide: Blossoms: apple, peach, plum, cherry! 🥰

This one is more of a guide on how to recognize them if you want to deliberately include them in your stylized drawings 😎💕 Turns out there are many obvious differences that are very easy to mix up! 🤭 Next part of the guide is already up for my kofi supporters 🥰 This month's one is Lily of the Valley 💕

back in the 00s a single dancing anime chibi gif would feed us for months on end

Here’s the template. Go forth and recreate the dancing anime chibi gif. Revive the old ways.

This fucking thing all over deviantART in the 00s-10s LMAO

The bases on this post are all JPEGs for some reason. That makes them hard to use properly. I will link to the originals and provide some additional ones, along with a tutorial on how to actually make them into a GIF.

I couldn't find the caramelldansen base in this post, but here is a version that should work just as well.

To save these and have them be usable, you have to click the "free download" button underneath the image.

Some other good bases:

You can find many other bases like these through DeviantArt.

How to make them into a GIF:

Step 1. Edit the base however you like (I used MSPaint)

Step 2: Crop and save each frame individually as PNGs (Note for the lick base: It's best to crop them to include the black boarder. This makes the GIF 50x50, which is the standard DeviantArt icon size and can easily scale larger if need be.)

Step 3: Go to ezgif.com/maker and upload all your frames

Step 4: Set "delay time" to 10, then click "Make a GIF!"

Step 5: Right-click the result and save it. Congrats! You used a GIF base!

Hey guys, this is for you digital artists out there.

My friends have created this site for tracking your images, it’s called copypants.com.

It sucks finding people who repost your art without crediting you. On top of finding your images, Copypants acts as a middleman for interacting with the reposters. They make it really easy to send credit requests to people reposting your work.

Check em out, copypants.com

If you guys run into any problems, feel free to email or message them.

Spread the word cause I found my art on websites I didn’t even know they existed.

Anonymous asked:

do you have any tutorial on how to paint gold? your gold motifs are so beautiful and it's something i struggle with. Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks! Uhh it generally shifts based on the texture & shape I’m going for, but here’s my general process / rule of thumb:

Or if you lock layer transparency — or however its called in Photoshop — you can use a textured brush to quickly pepper in some highlights & shadow to add a gold-ish effect:

I forgot one more thing! Adding extra details can help make gold pop even more in your paintings. Putting on some well-place highlights, a little blur, and a lil overlay layer makes a world of difference:

I saw a few folks asking about my Virelle piece so here’s a tip:

You can make shiny & glittery gold pretty easily when you use a dappled airbrush. It’s the same process as above, but with a spray of large-to-fine dots. It takes a little more time, but the result is cool.

The standard version of ClipStudo comes packaged with the saturated line tool, which generates sunburst effects. And so we wind up with something like this:

I dont know how this translates into Photoshop, but for CSP users I’ve updated my airbrush pack with the customized brush. Good luck. 😭

Just as I answered in a previous ask, majority of my works included experimenting so this is probably far from being the actual right way to achieve DR style but it’s what I did so ahaha sorry :v

I used Sai.

<—Soft line brush—Flat brush—Airbrush—Eraser—>
Soft line- Used for sketching, colouring, painting. You’ll need to be familiar with the pressure sensitivity when blending so better get a feel for when to press hard to get solid colours. Adjust the min size depending on where you’re using it, eg. at 0 for fine lines.
Flat brush- The whooshy effect lines. Again, adjust min size to your preference; set to 0 to get the pointy flick stroke.
Airbrush- Didn’t use it on John but tried on Jane. Mostly on her face to give it that glowing kinda look. Else, mostly used for minor adjustments of colours and extra blending.
Eraser- Self explanatory, adjust density to fit your needs. 20% then stroke a couple of times to get the whispy lines. I Used 80-90% for normal erasures
After sketching, added rough shading, then the base colours on a different layer underneath the sketch. I just flattened it afterwards and worked on one layer all through out.
I went and redid a lot of parts as I progressed.
For after effects, moved it to photoshop: duplicated the whole thing -> gaussian blur -> set blur layer to linear burn at 25% opacity
Also added a pattern overlay on the original layer: greyscale paper (kraft paper) -> Overlay at 45%

Love the way you drew that fire!! Any tips? C:

Thank you!

The method that I used for the fire poi drawings requires a black background, so it might not work for all situations, but I’d be happy to show you regardless!

Basically, I need at least three layers:

1.) A bright, bright, brightly saturated gradient, set to overlay.  In this case I went from yellow, through orange and red, and even to pink a bit at the bottom, but you can use whichever colors you’d like the fire to be.

2.) A transparent layer (or layers) to sketch on with white.  I used a brush with 50-60% opacity.

3.) Pure black background layer.

For the fire poi, I created a smeary sort of shape - white on one end, fading out in the direction it’s been traveling.

Then I selected a jagged, crackly, “fire shape” with the selection tool, and filled it with white.

Hope this helps!

As someone who’s been drawing Dangan Ronpa sprites for a while, I’ve noticed distinct differences between the games and I’ve finally written it down.

When comparing them, I’m definitely more like NDRV3 with minimal gradients and darker shading but I also go with slightly brighter colours like DR2. If you draw Dangan Ronpa, tag which game you draw most like :D

someone asked me to do a little thing on how i draw arms?? i. should have thought about the writing more, i’ll do that if i ever do one on hands. basically, i just keep a few anatomy tips in my head and then do whatever the character needs most!!

sorry if this isn’t too helpful, but it WAS fun. i love drawing arms+hands

For those wondering about HOW to do this, here’s a short explanation according to me:

Drawing A to Drawing B: -the most obvious change is the exaggeration of the line of motion in the character.

In Drawing B the line of motion is much more pronounced, creating more drama and movement to the whole composition

-The arms are open wider, showing more confidence and exuberance in the character, exaggerating their emotions so they can be more clearly read without having to look to the face for emotional cues.

-the legs are wider apart, adding to the aforementioned confidence but also giving the character a solid foundation, visually speaking.

-The head is tilted back and overlapped by the chest, adding a touch of dynamic perspective to the drawing.

Drawing B to Drawing C:  -Most obvious change is to zoom in on the character.  Character framing is just as important as what the character is doing.  Zooming in can help infensify emotions.  this shot is ALL about this character and what they’re feeling. -Because of the zooming in, the arms/hands would have gotten lost, so instead of making the canvas wider, the artist has elected to rotate the character slightly, bringing a dynamic angle to things and more intensity to the close shot. -While the character is more upright in this shot compared to Drawing B, in Drawing C the chest still slightly overlaps the neck, preserving the feeling of being slightly below the character (putting them in a position of power relative to the viewer), which helps maintain confidence and power in the character. -the chest is exaggerated to carry the majority of the body’s line of action so even though you cannot see the legs, our brains are able to fill in the gap and envision that line of action. -The cropping/framing of the character allows for a more interesting composition/negative shapes created by the positive (character) on the negative (background), creating more visual interest as well as a circular motion to the composition through the arms, across the face to the negative space for the eyes to rest in before dropping to the hand in the background and back through the composition again.
