I'm thinking of Zevlor. How he is always crouching to talk to Tav no matter how short Tav may be, looking Tav just slightly beneath the eye sight, like he is not good enough to even face Tav with a straight posture.and Tav, oh dear Tav, may be all the good hero type that everyone believe or wants to believe in, but this older person who used to be an adored and admired hero, looking at them like this, as if he was putting them on some sort of pedestral do something to them. So they just can't help but want to tease the poor old man. Maybe a curious hand at the tail, that always seems so controlled when compared to his people's one. Maybe passing it of as a mistake. But mistakes keeps happening and the light shock showing on Zevlor's eyes aren't helping to satisfy Tav's curiosity. Maybe as they grow closer Tav will go on full curiosity on the man.
I just really want to leave that man into a flustered mess, on one part he would want the teasing to stop, he is too old to be teased, but then, on the other hand he would just want to be on the receiving end of this attention from the one he has come to put his faith on, and not thinking of anything except his feelings for them and the current moment he shared with them. He believes it will just be a passing moment and would almost never believe in any possibility for a long term serious thing.
Zevlor berating himself for being a pervy old man because he desperately craves Tav's "innocent" touches.
He yearns for a brush of their hand against the base of his tail. He thinks that as a non-tiefling Tav doesn't know that it's a highly erogenous zone for tieflings— and he admonishes himself for not informing Tav, who would surely never touch his tail again if they knew.
Zevlor convinces himself that Tav's flirty teasing is all in his head and that he's a sad, delusional, cad for ever entertaining that idea.
Because why would the Hero of Baldur's Gate— a young (even if Tav is middle aged they're young to him), attractive, highly sought after individual— ever want to be with a washed up, broken, old man with no prospects like him? Obviously, they wouldn't want him.
When Tav gets frustrated and plainly tells Zevlor that they enjoy teasing him and that they want to pursue a relationship with him he short-circuits.
It would take a lot of convincing on Tav's part to get the old Hellrider to agree to a date.
Zevlor is convinced that he's nothing more than a passing fancy for Tav, and that they will eventually (sooner rather than later) tire of him and discard him— but he's determined to enjoy every second of their attention while he has it.
He doesn't really believe that Tav wants a serious long-term relationship with him until they've been together for like 2 years.
