oh, the stupid ideas we have in between writing blocks

A little behind the scene of Birthday Hula Dance, or as I like to call this 

“The Fourteenth Man”

…Because for some inexplicable reason (which I’ve long stopped looking for, to be honest 🤣), of all the things my mind could have focused on, it decided to ponder on the number of the men in @tockamybeloved ‘s scene.

Basically it went: 

“They’re 10 on the beach, and then Cortez and Lesaro join them, so they are now 12, and with El Capitán they’ll be a total of 13…”

And so my higher brain functions or whatever stood for them went down the drain to the magical world of you remember when historically people used to be heavily superstitious about any gathering with 13 people?  From there my hand just slipped and drew whatever it wanted 😂😂😂

I totally envision Cortez and Santos to be the ones behind this plan, and man! don’t you hate it when at the last moment there’s that one teeny weeny detail that puts the whole operation in jeopardy? As someone who often got trips and parties cancelled for this very reason, I feel that sort of desperation.

My one grudge with these is that I realized only when all was done that I’ve drawn all of decks planks in the wrong direction, as they were meant to be parallel to the direction of ship’s length, and not perpendicular as I’ve have done. Oh well, of all the things I could regret that is totally the best, for I’m very satisfied with how the rest came out 😎

Remember to pour one for poor Officer Cris who had to go and get ill to let me make Magda join, our true hero!

First of all, Cris decided to stick his *what* where?😳 Maybe I shouldn't have been looking at the hula scene for so long. My mind is now permanently in the gutter of Tortuga.😂

I've said it once and I'll say it a hundred times again, the emotions in this comic is so well done and absolutely hilarious!😂😂 I had to fight not to laugh so hard (don't wanna wake up the rest of the family) but I must admit, the sight of Magda being forcibly dragged across deck while Lesaro is distracted by imagined seagulls almost did me in.😂 It was a VERY close-call! Nothing to see there indeed.🤣

I understand the feeling well when the best laid plans slowly start to unravel because someone is sick or cancels. It sucks, so it is good that Magda ööh volunteered to join the party.😏 *Pouring one out for Officer Cris*

Terrible handwriting? Darlin' you haven't seen mine, at least yours is eligible! I think you have very pretty handwriting, I'm actually a little bit jealous.😉💕

I'm so sorry this has no source - perhaps @piratesangel could help us source this magnificent reference?? I know Miguel Magda staunchly insists he is taller than Lieutenant Lesaro, and will fight anyone on it if they say otherwise...😂

Also, I made this once, might be semi helpful as a comparison of the other main PotC 5 characters to el Capitán 😊 (who is 1.81m)
