that if i make a poc character look white or whitewash their features (lighten their features), to message me so i can fix the cap. i tell my fellow uploaders that if they spot any caps that have been whitewashed to not upload them, and, optionally, let me know which caps are whitewashed so i can re-edit the cap.

or if i think i’m whitewashing a character, but i’m not entirely sure, i throw the edit at one of my uploaders to let me know if i’ve done it or not; i can then adjust the edit accordingly if i have done so. (as i’m working on caps for a long time i start adjusting to the colouring used for that particular batch edit, or my eyes get sore and strained and i tend to need a second opinion on things bc of that. or if i don’t. i usually try to catch myself when i upload caps myself or as i mentioned earlier, by having one of my uploaders catch it too.) but in spite all of that, it doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen that caps with whitewashed characters don’t get uploaded. and getting called out lets me fix the problem, and so that i can apologise for whitewashing the character.

here’s a good, brief overview of what whitewashing looks like in graphics/gifs. here’s a good call-out on why whitewashing is bad regardless of “intent” and people still need to own up to it and not do the thing, or correct their mistakes. overall, this blog is good for not white-washed edits and examples of the ones that are.

didn’t know what kind of psds you wanted, so i just threw in a bunch of different ones in a zip file for you. (i usually change my colouring methods every couple of months, but they’re not drastically different.)

it’s the same thing, only i’ve written in past tense. :)

looking at wiki, there were only twelve episodes commissioned, and the last two eps are airing regularly. season five will be twenty episodes and split into two parts.

(I'm not sure if this is a serious question or a reference to something but I'm going to answer this seriously.)Short answer: Yes.Long answer: Life comes with struggles. Society is set up to be more difficult for people who aren't able-bodied, allistic white cishet men. But because it can be a struggle doesn't mean it's not worth it. (For anyone who feels alone, who struggle with oppression, who suffers from depression or other mental illnesses please know you are not a burden and deserve to be loved and respected.)
