Ursol my beloved lil jerk ily ily ily
UrSol tries to justify him in any way possible and available to her, while listening to him with utmost attention and anger UrSan. She knows perfectly well that he was the one who with his song did not prevent her from swimming in the river…
“UrSan, it wasn’t me! Ask the fish in the river.”
“They don’t need to justify your words, UrSol. I know perfectly well that it was your antics preventing me from continuing to swim. You are bad at lying, Chanter.”
Aww! Your a bad liar UrSol! Not to pry, but was this partially inspired by my headcanons about these two? :3c
I really want to believe that some of the mystics keep pinching themselves to annoy their counterpart and you can’t change my mind.
Maybe vice versa.
Update; they communicate in Morse code - or their thra equivalent of it.
You know I had to do it to em
The vote results are in! And the next Mystic for UrRedesign is UrZah the Ritual Guardian! Or at least it will be once I get the grocery bag off of his head…
Any thoughts on UrSol, him being the Chamberlain counterpart and all? Thank you for your head canons! They're very interesting and well-thought-out!
💕💘 THANK YOU ANON!! 💘💞
I try really hard with these! With UrSol, he was a lot of fun to think about. Especially due to the Skeksis and Mystics being two halves of the same whole. One light and one dark. But that doesn’t mean they have to be polar opposites! With UrSol, I change SkekSil’s manipulative and lying nature into something very similar, but overall harmless. Instead of SkekSil’s malice, UrSol is just mischievous. He’s fun loving with a knack for getting into trouble! But also knowing when to stop goofing around to fix your mess.
Ursol is a strange one. Or at least by UrRu standards. Being very childish and oftentimes ignoring the advice of his peers. He finds pleasure in trickery But at the same time, he never means any harm! Much like a child he only wants to play around. And if anything goes wrong he’s quick to try and fix his mistakes.
Ursol has bells on his sleeves that jingle when he moves. Similar to that of a cat’s collar. He loves to sing and although he isn’t super spiritual (For a Mystic), he often sings worship songs with UrZah. And on those rare occasions he meets a traveler, Gelfling, UrRu, or otherwise, he’ll be sure to exchange songs and show off his talents!
UrSol can imitate any noise or voice perfectly. He’ll often do this when he’s bored or wants to pull a joke on a friend. He has used this to make UrTih think rare species of animals were following him, or to have UrAmaj make everyone extra desserts because “The Master said so” When in reality he just mimicked UrSu’s voice because he wanted cookies.
He can use his vocal range to move stones, or cause waterfalls to stand still. This uncanny ability to control the forces of nature has the potential to be exteremely dangerous. Thankfully, unlike the Chamberlain, he doesn’t crave power. He just wants to have fun and laugh with the people he cares about.
He often uses his abilities to manipulate the world around him in simple ways as well. He has a hobby of making intriquiqite patterns with stones and vines when he’s bored.
There are certain occasions where UrSol has regretted a prank he has pulled on his friends. Either because they weren’t laughing with him, or it caused some sort of harm. On one occasion; after UrSan’s yearly migration back to the Valley of the Mystics, UrSol sneakily followed her upstream, using his voice to manipulate currents so he could keep up with the swimmer’s speed. Until the two got to where UrSol wanted them to be. A large waterfall. As UrSan was scaling up the raging water, He made the current go faster. UrSan just pushed forward thinking she underestimated the waterfall’s power… She stayed in the same place for minutes, seemingly stuck in the force of the waterfall. Until she heard UrSol whistle at her side, with a big grin on his face! She got upset at him for keeping her from reaching the top. Sol laughed and quickly returned the waterfall’s speed to normal, not knowing that because of UrSan’s momentum she built up would send her flying off! The poor swimmer smashing into a slick rock! He instantly freaked out! Running over to the injured Mystic. Barraging her with all sorts of appologies. UrSan forgave him, but she gave him a scolding that he’d never forget! She had to stay behind for a while longer as her wounds healed. Sol regrets this and believes he went too far. Even if UrSan has since forgiven him.
UrSol has a secret insecurity of being unloved or forgotten. That’s why he’s so playful and involved with all his fellow Mystics. He fears that everyone secretly hates him and are going to abandon him one day.
The Chanter is suprisingly good with younglings and other small creatures. Being very patient with them and making sure not to startle or tease them too harshly unless the two already have a close bond. Maybe he knows what it feels like to be small and helpless?
As much as he seems like a impish little goblin, he does care a lot about his loved ones. Speaking to them kindly and gently. Kind of like an older brother. Despite his mischief and flaws, he’s just a lonely guy trying to make his loved ones happy. EVEN IF HE’S STILL A RAT!
Thank you for reading as always! I hope you enjoyed this and thanks for reading this far! ❤
