Heya tdc community! I need your help with a tiny thing.
I need help finding some fonts from the comics. Here’s some examples of what I mean.
Skeksis, Mystics, and podlings all have their own unique fonts instead of the common comic book font that all the gelfling use. I feel like i’m pretty savvy with fonts, but no matter where I look I can’t seem to find the origin of these specific typefaces. If anyone knows the names of any of these, please let me know in any way you can!
The skeksis and mystic fonts look like some sort of serif or script font. While the podling text has a more round, sans serif style. Almost like a child’s writing. Anything helps, so feel free to reblog, leave a comment, or dm me if you know, or have any leads! Thank you!
Something I really like about the Collector is that no matter the reality, They’re always friends with the Scroll-Keeper on some level. The manga? Pretty decent friends. (SkekOk even calls Chamberlain cringe after he complains about him.) YA Novels? They freaking get drunk on Spriton wine together during a census and they’re just goofballs who love laughing together. AoR? …You already know my feelings about them being an old married couple, But from a PURELY CANON standpoint, having it essentially confirmed by the writers and puppeteers at the con telling me that they were best friends before Lach died, it just makes me happy. It’s very rare for the skeksis to be friends with other skeksis in a purely non-selfish way where there’s nothing to gain.
I just think she’s neat and it’s cool to have at least 1 trait shared throughout all her versions.

I don’t want to be mean or anything but I’m outraged! Your art makes me happy?! I will always love your silly Skeksis and beautiful Gelflings and UrRus! Also, that Stained Glass drawing you did for Thra-Athon last year is one of my all time favorite TDC pieces! How can you make so perfect linearts?! Continue being awesome with Undertale or whatever fandom you’ll be in!
Sorry I took so long to respond! Real life kinda got in the way and things Irl could be going better, but no need to dwell on that. Also I wanted to think about how I wanted to reply, but honestly I should’ve just answered naturally, so that’s what I’m gonna do. I just got a little nervous because I look up to you a lot haha! It really means a lot to me that you, and a lot of people really liked my stuff. My time in the TDC fandom was something special. I’ll probably come back someday, but it was an experience that was incredibly unique. It helped me hone my skills and I met some of my closest friends through it and I appreciate every second of it.
Also that Thra-Athon ink I did last year is probably one of my favorites too! It took a long time to make but it turned out beautiful. Thank you so much for your kindness Eliane. I really treasure our friendship.
As for lineart, I’d suggest a lot of pairence, and being able to forgive yourself if you make a mistake. Especially traditionally which you cant undo. (Which this piece is yikes!) when inking, if you mess up the lineart, a good trick is to try and fix it by turning it into something else. Just keep on moving and improving! Just, oh my goodness. I’m incredibly grateful for all of these memories. Thank you all for keeping up with me so far.

The WIP comes from a refsheet I’m working on for Adult SkekAth, aka “The Linguist.” I only get about two hours to draw each day at the moment due to work, but I’ve been focusing the hardest on this, a child ref sheet of him, my DTIYS, and my Ath character interactions at the moment.
Gift crossover art for my bestie @mayoffin with her oc SkekCept and TØP’s Ned! I got the inspiration to make this since I like to sing chlorine when I’m stressed out at work. And that happens to be one of The Alchemist’s themes! A little tribute to my best friend, and one of my favorite bands.
