This beautiful necklace was part of a jewelry set gifted to Princess Stéphanie of Belgium by the city of Budapest. The occasion of the gift was her marriage to Crown Prince Archduke Rudolf (son of Sissi) on 10 May 1881. The piece is inlaid with the so-called "Hungarian opal", which was highly prized in the history of jewelry. . PLEASE do this ohmygod. it's saved so many days of the silent treatment for me on both ends. yes there is the chance that the person is immature as fuck, and refuses to believe you when you explain what you're actually trying to say, but most of the time just hearing that explanation from both parties will make things instantly calm down.
On that note, here’s my collection of vintage music and musicians.
