Day 6 - Six geese a-laying (Six poi a- twirling): Blackmail | Countdown | Last-Minute Relief
Amelia be using her jersey as makeshift bandage for the arrow shot wound on her shoulder. She might want to get that properly taken care soon, though....
In the meantime, she's (mostly) escaped the whumpers, removed the arrow, and is on her way back to rescue her friends.

Poi are weights/balls strung on a cord and swung in rhythmic/coordinated patterns. They're most often seen nowadays in Maori cultural dance, but traditionally also were used as weapons in war!
In Arkala (fictional Polynesian culture from my original story, The Case of Kindall, K.), they also traditionally use poi.

"Flax kits", or kete in Maori, are flax-woven baskets/bags made from harakeke flax. There's proverbs about having something (e.g. knowledge, love) in one's kete.
The whumpers sure are filling their kete with whumpees right now...
