The fluffy baby and I 😌💜
Thought my profile picture deserved a spot on the blog. (Uhh half face reveal I guess lol) This picture was taken at my desk, where I am almost always accompanied by Cherry.
Week 39 in my Hobonichi Weeks. I rewatched Coraline, reached 1300 followers on Instagram, got a ghost mug, got saved by Cherry the spider smacker, finished reading The Pumpkin Spice Cafe (the 30th book of the year), and started watching Kaos.
❝What terrified me will terrify others; and I need only describe the spectre which had haunted my midnight pillow.’ On the morrow I announced that I had thought of a story. I began that day with the words, It was on a dreary night of November❞
I have seen a few Frankenstein quotes floating around this past week. I opened up my copy of Frankenstein and read this passage from Mary Shelley’s introduction to the text. It felt inspiring and encouraging. May we all on dreary November nights write those terrifying stories, whether it’s in the form of journals or novels or poems.
Do you paint your nails yourself? If yes, do you use specific tutorials?
Those dark green ones with the "chaotic" stripes are my favorite, they're stunning!
First of all: thank you!💜 And yes, I paint my nails myself (with regular polish).
The easiest way to paint on nails is with Uni Posca paint pens (I have white, black, and silver metallic in size 0.7) on top of nail polish. You do need to seal it with a top coat or clear polish. If you touch the nail very lightly, you can get pretty thin lines.
If I want to use another color, I use a toothpick and dip it in a little bit of polish.
Sometimes I use acrylic paint (again on top of nail polish and don’t let it touch skin) applied with a toothpick. Sometimes I mix it with white polish to get a particular shade. The texture feels horrible, though.
You didn’t ask about this, but I’ll add it anyway: gradients are done with a sponge (the makeup sponge type, not this one 🧽). Sometimes this completely fails and it always requires a lot of nail polish remover to get the excess of my skin.
Nails with chrome look are done with eye shadow. I rub it on slightly tacky nail polish. The timing is really tricky and if the eye shadow is too powdery it is ugly. Lots of trail and error.
Hope this helps!
An action shot lol
Week 38 in my Hobonichi Weeks. I finished reading Happy Place, watched Beetlejuice and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and got new shoes.

I tried this new layout for a few weeks. In hindsight I am not the biggest fan of how this looks, and the reading direction is a bit confusing. I did like that I was able to write a bit more detailed about my day. I’m glad I chose a b6 for next year so I can combine my usual layout style with the amount of writing I did here.

Came across this quote from the 2023 Hobonichi booklet and it really resonated with me. I love flipping through my little book of memories and reminiscing about the past year. It is always exciting to start a new journal and with the end of the year so close I’m sure many of us (almost) can’t wait, but it is also really nice to look back at everything we’ve written down and created.
Week 37 in my Hobonichi Weeks. I bought an extremely purple cardigan, cross stitched a lot, and ordered a sterling ink b6 for 2025.
Happy Halloween!🎃
My cat has decided to be an anteater today. Peep that tongue between the pages of my journal, very in character🥴
Anyway, I thought I’d share what my “stickers” look like when I print them. I try not to waste any paper, so I add as many things as possible. That’s why I’m always backlogging, because I’m just waiting for things to draw lol.
Week 36 in my Hobonichi Weeks. I became a morning person, somehow ended up with a new plant when I went to the store (lol), and started watching Killing Eve.
With a little help from Cherry, I present the little pop-up coffee cup I made. (Watch the video to see it in action) Today I reached 1.5k followers and I wanted to say thank you to all of you!💜 Thank you for making this little space on the internet so nice and inspiring!

Week 35 in my Hobonichi Weeks. Bought perfume and nail polish, made charms and earrings, and took pictures at a photo booth.
In less than a week it’s Halloween already👻 Decorated with my homemade ghost pillow (I’m saying this as if the pillow is not on my bed all year round lol). I’m still undecided on what movie I am going to watch, but I’m leaning towards Interview with the vampire. If you’re dressing up for Halloween, I’d love to know what you’re going as.
Week 34 in my Hobonichi Weeks. I watched Russian Doll, started watching Dexter, and got a new key chain.
