Studyspo update!
Post-grad, it’s not really study so much as work. Still a grind, still learning.
I do need to revisit my thesis and other papers to revise them for publishing. Oh how things have changed!

When Eric Lundgren was sentenced to prison for selling Windows OS restore disks, many news headlines promised stories about a humble pioneer of e-waste recycling who was failed by the US justice system when he was targeted by a heartless tech giant. However, the truth is a little more sinister than these headlines would suggest, and it is found outside of the blurbs of Lundgren’s accomplishments, sympathetic quotes from dithering judges, and impassioned denials.
If you have institutional or subscription access, you can find my thesis on ProQuest.
I also uploaded a copy to Researchgate. Otherwise, read my blog to find most of my thesis rewritten in a less formally academic style and bitesize posts for easy reading.
Academia. edu can honestly fuck off.
I got an email for an account I don’t remember making telling me I can see this mention made “two minutes ago” if I buy a subscription. First of all, the initial “V.” could stand for versus and be part of a court case. Secondly, fuck right off with making me buy my own name!
“What the hell was this idiot thinking?” I say, reviewing data I compiled a week ago.
I’m now one degree hotter since I’ve mastered forensic linguistics.
This is what I’m forced to resort to when I can’t get my ADD meds. I’ll have 3-4 cans of these a day. Hope my heart doesn’t explode!
My advisor told me to cite a metaphor in my thesis draft. I invented that metaphor.
Am I going to subject my classmates to my very nerdy research paper on the speech patterns of Gollum and Sméagol?
Oh hell yeah!
I haven’t shared a pic of my study space in quite a while. Here it is, in all its kinda organized glory.
Currently analyzing a Trump tweet for an Appraisal Analysis assignment. Part of my new series, titled “Why do I do this to myself?”
🌊 I just study study study the morning away...
I used to be a really active studyblr. The community and content really helped motivate me through undergrad. Then, I graduated. Took some time off, studied and took the GRE. Then, I got into grad school to study Forensic Linguistics. Somehow, I managed my first year without studyblr and without medication. But my notes just weren’t good, my habits weren’t great, and I coasted on intuition. So I’m going to be a studyblr again, and use Tumblr to motivate myself, and to keep myself accountable.
Next semester is my thesis semester. Then I’ll start trying for my PhD. I need to be better so I can succeed.
Today, I replaced missing buttons, sewed up holes, built a bookshelf, rearranged my furniture, and apparently I’m gonna do everything except thIS ASSIGNMENT THAT IS DUE TOMORROW!
