Being a student again just feels so right for me. I’m loving grad school! So much to be grateful for in my life.
Finally and chaotically unpacking. It took two weeks, but my books (and stuff) finally joined me in New York!
I have arrived at my new place in New York. I landed in the morning Wednesday and I’ve been in a real dizzy settling in since. Then my roommates took me out to Manhattan last night. We’ve all just met and we’re fast friends. School starts Tuesday and I am so happy and very excited to start this new chapter in my life. Oh, yeah! Look at this blanket the airline let me keep from my red eye! Too bad I lost my Pokémon Go+ on the last plane.
Some fish were jumping up the beach and into a tree, which struck me as an odd thing for a fish to do, but I tried not to be judgmental about it.

I spent a few hours kayaking on Lake Washington today. As beautiful as it was, I couldn't help but wish I'd brought a book. I could just lay back and rock on the waves with a book in hand.
