Here’s some additional Ninjago doodles that I did in an attempt to get back into the groove of things (I’ve been motivated just haven’t had a lot of time to draw)

A new mysterious stranger appears in the crossroads, locked and loaded, ready to take the next bounty.

(Aka my friend pointed out that they’d really like to see Harumi as a bounty hunter, esp as a dragons rising appearance, so ofc I had to jump at the opportunity to draw that. This is just the basic sketchy concept I’m working with, though I might make a full on drawing, clothing and all)

Needing my cane today because fuck my knee, so ofc I gotta draw Ninjago characters using canes, too. I think I could take Wyld in a fight in this and hers’ state. (Also, disclaimer, I’m not actually that short.)

(Middle drawing is Harumi btw— it’s my hc that she needs a cane post Crystalized because her legs got Kinda Crushed by rubble when she fell from the building. The Overlord gave her leg enhancers, but it still fucked up her legs so now she’s an almost constant cane user (inspo for this is that weird cyborg spider thing they almost made out of her))

Fun fact: while Harumi’s spider lullaby sounds horrific in English, in German the lyrics sound actually kinda?? Sweet?? Non-creepy at the very least.

Here‘s the German lyrics:

„Spinne geht nach Haus, schlaf ein

So leise wie ne Maus, schlaf ein

Schlaf schön ein, dann muss die Spinne auch nicht traurig sein…“

Translated that would be something like:

“Spider’s going home, sleep, sleep (Though the direct translation would be more like “fall asleep”)

Quiet like a mouse, sleep, sleep

Sleep well, then the spider also doesn’t have to be sad…”

Obv it makes no sense with rhyming n stuff, but it’s the content that matters. And the content makes Harumi’s supposed to be creepy ass lullaby sound like something that a normal baby would actually fall asleep to, so Wu dozing off actually makes a lot more sense.

(FYI: The subtitles in the German dub still say basically the same lyrics as the English version, but Harumi doesn’t sing them WHATSOEVER lol)

I may hate Crystalized and most of what it’s done, however, it did give me the chance to hyperfixate on Bloody Nose by Jack Conte and create an absolutely unhinged version of Harumi in my head. So, of course I gotta put my crazy baby girl out there for the world to witness :]
