Here’s some additional Ninjago doodles that I did in an attempt to get back into the groove of things (I’ve been motivated just haven’t had a lot of time to draw)

Thank you s2p2 for making my long standing headcanon of Arin getting a growth spurt after s2 work in exactly the way I wanted it: However long it takes for them all to meet Arin again, he’s gonna be like two or three heads taller. He will have literally physically changed in their separation, returning different than anyone remembers him (kinda. You know what I mean.)

Does it ever kill you that it wasn’t even Arin who ended up solving the whole mystery. Like that was the whole reason he even agreed to go to the tournament— he would be able to do something and something useful for once, but in the end that task was taken up by someone else again.

Okay I think I’ve processed a bit (I HAVE NOT) and what I realized would be pretty baller is that Arin ends up becoming the bigger villain. Like, bigger than Ras/ that he kinda ends up taking Ras’ place.

I know it’s unlikely, since Ras is so set in whatever his end goal is that he’s probably not gonna give it up any time soon, but Arin taking over his spot because maybe Master ends up liking him a bit better? Yeah that would ruin me thank you.

Okay so apparently for Latvian Ninjago magazines (I do not know whether this is done anywhere else) they I guess also take in what are basically fanfics by kids and put them into the books

Arin is my comfort character to draw when I run out of motivation.

Anyways, random urge to draw a very soft looking older Arin has been satisfied (ignore my OC yelling at him)

Okay but if Arin *does* go to the evil side I need it to be for multiple (in universe) years. At the very least one season. I need him to grow older while he’s in that dark place and every time the ninja, including his old best friend, see him again he looks a little bit different. Grown a little bit taller. After that he can go back to goodness idc but I just need for a substantial passage of time between when we first get to know the kid Arin that bakes pies for dogs in ep1 and when a much older Arin with years of fighting and trauma on his back gets to maybe return to those he once called family.

Okay no but if Arin is autistic then he’s definitely dyspraxic too. This child has

- Punched himself if the face at least twice

- Managed to trip on literally nothing and fall flat on his face

- Thrown various plates into the wrong place— with or without object spinjitzu he still misses a bunch of times and yeets stuff into oblivion

- Has spun HIMSELF *into* various people and objects

- There’s probably more but I can’t think of anything else rn

It is now my headcanon that Arin’s mother taught him how to bake pies (but only pies) as a way to help train his fine motor skills, however even then no one should enter that kitchen when he bakes because it *will* give them a heart attack

No no no because I don’t think you guys understand how tragic it would be for Arin if he makes a deal with Ras to somehow bring his parents back, and it actually works— but Arin had to shatter his goodness in return. Standing opposite that which he has wanted to achieve for years now: his physical and real parents that he’s longed for daily. They’re happy to see their child well, but Arin feels absolutely nothing in return. Only anger and pain at the fact that he messed up so bad that nothing can return back to normal. That his parents can’t look at him and be proud anymore.
