Honestly, all I’ve gathered from FATWS so far is that Bucky and Natasha would be a tired couple, just trying to catch a break from saving the world.
Okay okay I’ll bite.
I know everyone is really upset that they gave us that comic scene and they still aren’t cannon. But to be fair, I feel like it’s better writing this way. You can’t jump from Nat recovering from a fake marriage that she was at one point, despite the circumstances, genuinely attached to, to her with James. It just wouldn’t work that way, and if she jumped that fast without healing it wouldn’t work for them. Especially with the “fake marriage” being to someone named James as well. Give her a chance to recover from that, and let them come together at the right moment. I would much rather that then a forced relationship right now.

Could you imagine if Bucky was somehow mentioned during Black Widow? I mean..it takes place after Civil War. Imagine just ANY sort of reference to her past with him. Unlikely? Yes. Will I stop hoping? No.
Mmm yes. Let’s imagine the nice buckynat we could get if it’s Natasha that’s standing there when Bucky recovers from being ash. Let’s imagine the nice subtle (or not so) look we could get. Let’s imagine the ever so nice “I’m glad you’re back James” “Thank you, Natalia” interaction we could get.
Lets imagine Marvel not crushing our dreams again, and instead giving us some sort of buckynat after a movie that’s sure to kill us in every other way. I mean..please?

And then suddenly, a bullet pierces his skin, as they’re still not finished battle, and he collapses to the ground in front of her. She stares in horror, running to him, kneeling down. He looks up. “N-Natalia?” He whispers. She only nods “my soldier.” She barely manages a weak smile, eyes brimming with tears, as he collapses, limp.
