author’s note: Hey guys! As you may see while you read this, I got inspired by AHS: Hotel for this one-shot and I had to write it, so here is the finished product!
(Y/N) was angry, you could even call it furious. She could smell the woman's stench all the way down the hall. It disgusted her, but unfortunately she had lost her stranglehold and ability to vomit long ago. The reason for this was none other than James Barnes, the man who owned this hotel and for this very reason she was now stuck here.
A short cry is the last thing she heard before (Y/N) opened the doors to his huge penthouse. With glowing eyes, (Y/N) glared at them as they lay naked on the bed, covered with blood all over them. Her heels left loud noises as (Y/N) walked towards the bed.
“Would you be so kind to explain to me what you are doing here?“ (Y/N) hissed at her lover who was just licking some of the blood from the neck of the woman who was lying next to him in bed. She giggled quietly and stroked her fingers through Bucky's hair “Is that your mother?“
Before (Y/N) could even strike a blow, Bucky stood in front of her and held her wrist firmly in his grip. His gaze was calm and serene before he looked briefly over his shoulder to the woman “Leave us alone. I'll take care of it.“
Somewhat annoyed, the woman got herself out of bed and put on his dress shirt that laid on the floor before she disappeared into the adjoining living room. Bucky had put on his boxer shorts and let go of (Y/N)'s wrist before closing the door to keep them undisturbed.
“Who's that bitch and why did you turn her into one of us? And don't tell me it was an accident. You never let one of those happen“ (Y/N) snapped while Bucky let himself sink into one of the armchairs and watched as she ran back and forth through the room angrily. He wiped some blood off his cheek and licked his fingers clean before finally answering “Oh it wasn't an accident. I did it because I wanted to.“
“And why is that? Do you do this to torture me even more than you already do?“ (Y/N) asked him angrily but there was also some sadness in her voice when she knocked the champagne glass he had just picked up out of his hand. Now he was the one who glared back at her “I torture you? You live in complete luxury and you tell me I torture you? Now you're exaggerating, baby doll.“
“I'm not exaggerating! You torture me every day! When you transformed me, you sold my soul to the devil and bound me to this house for all eternity! I'm never getting out of here because of you! At least I always thought that you did it because you feel the same as I do.“ (Y/N) began to sob as tears started to form in her eyes and she let herself sink onto the couch opposite him.
“And how do you feel about me, mon cherí?“ James rose from his chair and came over to her. He gently stroked his fingers over her cheek before lifting her chin to make her look at him.
Her eyes were glassy and her cheeks were stained with her dried tears. Her lower lip started to tremble as she replied in a weak voice “You should know that“
Sighing, he squatted before (Y/N) and wiped the tears from her cheeks as he replied “Yes, I know that. Believe me, doll, I know it's not easy but she is nothing more than a pastime I need from time to time.“
„Is this what I am to you? A pastime?“ (Y/N) asked offended as James slowly approached and tried to kiss her but (Y/N) wouldn't have it and turned her head to the side. Annoyed, James rolled with his eyes and let go of her as he stood up and went to his little shelf where he poured himself a glass of whiskey and took a big sip of it. He briefly grimaced before he put the glass aside again and replied “You're not a pastime, no. Shall I tell you why I turned you, my darling?“
(Y/N) looked at him and gave him a short nod before Bucky began to tell her the story.
“You were with your friend when I first saw you. I still wonder why you chose this fucking hotel but still you were here. I was fixated on you.“ Bucky leaned his back against the shelf and watched every single reaction in her face before he continued “No matter where you were, I knew it and followed you. There's plenty of junkies around here. I couldn't let them attack you. You know, there is a phenomenon in our circles. You fixate on a certain person and then...you can't get rid of it. I didn't want you to leave...so I lured you to my room where you jumped into my bed and had the best night of your life.“ Bucky slowly walked towards her and looked down on her. (Y/N) raised an eyebrow when she replied “How do you know it was the best night of my life?“
„Try to convince me otherwise. You know it was like that.“ he grabbed her by the chin, his thumb stroking over her lower lip as (Y/N) slowly let her shoulders drop before Bucky went on “On that day when you checked into our fancy hotel, I knew you were the one I'd been spending eternity with. So don't get bitchy when another woman jumps into my bed. You also had some men and women beside me without me being there“ he let go of her chin and went to his bath where he cleaned himself up.
Slowly (Y/N) followed him into the bathroom and leaned into the door frame as she watched him washing the blood off his body. She leaned her head to the side when she said “So you admit it. You love me.“
„If I'm sure of anything, it's this one, believe me“ Bucky replied and threw the wet washcloth back into the tub before he came to her. Finally a smile spread on her lips as he wrapped an arm around her middle and pulled her to his chest. Laughing quietly, she stroked his cheek before kissing him softly. Chuckling, (Y/N) ran her fingers through his hair and smiled “That's what I wanted to hear.“
