- Who is the most affectionate? Jae-Ha.
- Big spoon/Little spoon? They used to switch off due to preference, but having Kija’s dragon hand looming above so close sometimes made Jae-Ha nervous. It ended up being Jae-Ha big spoon Kija little spoon.
- Most common argument? It used to be Kija’s habit of forcing his views on others. Nowadays they argue most over who sleeps where.
- Favorite non-sexual activity? They like battling.
- Who is most likely to carry the other? Y’know, in canon Jae-Ha is usually the one who carries him because if they have to be somewhere quick, he can just piggyback him wherever. But off screen one day, Jae-Ha is like, “YOU carry me. My left leg and arms are tired.” Kija carries him around like he’s a sack of flour.
- What is their favorite feature of their partner’s? Kija favors Jae-Ha’s shoulders while Jae-Ha really likes Kija’s blushing face.
- What’s the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other? They insist on having someone sleep in between them all the time. Zeno picks it up right away and is half tempted to just screw it all and have them wake up beside each other one night.
- Nicknames? & if so, how did they originate? Nah, neither of them are much for nicknames.
- Who worries the most? Jae-Ha. He is, surprisingly, a worrywart. Kija can be reckless–sometimes way too much for his own good.
- Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant? Jae-Ha. Jae-ha orders all over the place, so Kija can’t say exactly what he’ll get every time.
- Who tops? When they get used to things and figure out what they prefer, Kija.
- Who initiates kisses? Jae-Ha. In private, Kija might on occasion…and then more and more often.
- Who reaches for the other’s hand first? Kija. The first time he did it, it made Jae-Ha jump because it was the claw and…
- Who kisses the hardest? Jae-Ha is a passionate person, so yea.
- Who wakes up first? That’s not exact. Sometimes one sleeps in later than the other.
- Who wants to stay in bed just a little longer? Definitely Jae-Ha. Kija is always ready for a new day.
- Who says I love you first? Kija wears his heart on his sleeves, so one day he accidentally blurts it out and then runs away like, “YOU DIDN’T HEAR THAT.”
- Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?) Do either of them know how to write? I’d imagine Kija kind of does. Maybe.
- Who tells their family/friends about their relationship first? Jae-Ha does one of those Jae-Ha Counseling sessions and announces it. It comes as no surprise to Zeno or Hak.
- What do their family/friends think of their relationship? Zeno is utterly entertained with imagining how Shuten and Guen would react to their descendants hooking up. Yoon is like, “Great, another stupid couple.” Shin-Ah and Hak are a little confused but they role with it. Yona is happy for them and wishes the best for them. Granny insists they at least have a surrogate mother. Though had it not been Lord Ryokuryuu, she would have pushed much harder for a breakup.
- Who is more likely to start dancing with the other? Jae-Ha is more musically inclined while Kija usually sits back and drinks/eats. I do imagine drunk Kija getting his groove on and initiating dance.
- Who cooks more/who is better at cooking? Jae-Ha. He already knows how to do basic stuff for his own survival, but Kija…
- Who comes up with cheesy pick up lines? Jae-Ha is the cheesy, suave lizard.
- Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear during inappropriate times? Hasn’t Jae-Ha already done this? Of course it’s him.
- Who needs more assurance? Jae-Ha, despite the high self-esteem he has, is more prone to cracks in his resolve than Kija. Kija has a solid foundation to fall back on, and he’s there to help Jae-Ha in any way he can if Jae-Ha allows himself to receive it.
- What would be their theme song? Sleeping with a Friend, by Neon Trees
- Who would sing to their child back to sleep? Kija. He recalls a few lullabies from Granny that calmed him.
- What do they do when they’re away from each other? When they’re away from each other, the DDHHB are also separate, probably on missions. So that’s what they do. Gotta do this mission thing.
- one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart That when their mission is over and they’re ALIVE AND WELL, they decide to go separate ways.
- one headcanon about this OTP that mends it They decide it was a fucking huge mistake and Jae-Ha sets out for Hakuryuu Village. They meet halfway because Kija was coincidentally thinking of the same thing when he sensed Jae-Ha’s presence closing in quicker and quicker.
