I’ve been in love with Aldis Hodge since ‘08 😍, PLUS a big fan of the Alex Cross series forever!!! To say I am fanned the entire fuck out in an understatement!!!

And nothing is better than when they let the black characters actually act black!!! 😫🙌🏽🙌🏽

who should be next to get to detective

I've been thinking about this a lot and I think I have came to a conclusion:

  • Adam Ruzek: He's fine right where he is. He is made for action and good police work, he doesn't need detective status because he's better on the streets.
  • Kiana Cook: A little early for her, she has lots of things to learn and she's shown great potential for police work. She doesn't need detective status yet.
  • Kevin Atwater: I feel like he's a great partner duo with Adam and we need some hands on the streets. I feel like he doesn't care about reaching detective either way, all he cares about is doing good police work and beating prejudice and unfairness and that can be achieved if he's on the streets setting up a good example. He's a person who thinks with his heart and that could be a little dangerous for a detective, but he can also be a very logical person too, the voice of reason.
  • Dante Torres: I feel like he's the best possibility. He's shown great signs of investigative skills especially at 12x07 and he's only getting better and better. Yes maybe it's a little early and yes he is good police and can fight and we need some hands on the streets especially new blood but for now I think he's got the most potential. He also thinks with his heart a lot but most of the times he doesn't let that affect his work.

I think more of you should watch Brilliant minds because not only is it the best show on network television right now and has consistently amazing and empathetic stories, it feels like the kind of medical drama we've been missing. The stories and cases are unique but simple and human, and they don't take the easy way out in telling them. The endings aren't always textbook happy but they're peaceful, and this show tells us that there is happiness in peace. It is filled with characters you love who feel like real people but are also aspirational in the sense that they are people you hope to be, and that you hope this world has more of. They make mistakes and they doubt themselves over and over again and they have baggage of their own, but they also have each other and that means that even if you don't see the way, you can walk together and you can figure it out. It is a show with diverse and representative characters that takes care with the stories it tells but is not afraid to be a little silly with it because life is silly even when it is deadly serious and even when you're eating yourself up from the inside. If you're ever looking for a new show to watch I can't recommend this one highly enough.

I agree. This isn't another medical drama this is so interesting because it focuses on the human mind. As someone who has taken neuropsychology classes I assure you it takes a lot of knowledge from both fields to be able to practice. And Oliver is such an interesting character it's not a Dr House remake he is different, completely different, a character with depth and trauma that has its roots way back on his childhood. Give it a chance

The show does a great job at portraying the hardships women had and still have to face at jobs like these. I felt so bad for Lala
