i know the end of the movie (i saw the tv glow) was rly sad, but there’s something abt how for the most part we only ever see Memories of owen having embodied experiences (trying on the dress, shoving her head in the tv — both come back as repressed memories that he’s being forced to remember & narrate, not scenes we get to see him actually live through) and then the final scene of the movie is us seeing her actually live through an embodied experience — it just gives me a little bit of hope for her & her future. like maybe she was actually present for that screaming & cutting her chest. maybe she won’t just forget about it this time. maybe
