This was the best episode of 13th's era, and Jodie's best performance.

Not to mention, it was the most beautiful regeneration scene from the entire, and I repeat, entire show.

I ache for more 13 now, this 13. But I guess, that's a good sine. All doctors leave at their best performance (I have reservations about 6 and 7 tho, considering the circumstances of their departures), and Jodie is the prime example: The Power of the Doctor is her best performance as the Doctor, and Chibnall's best work.

I shall miss you 13, dearly (but we know we'll see Jodie again, somehow, we will).

And here's to the Tenth Doctor, back for a wild last lap in the Tardis, and the - I'm sure he'll be - fabulous 14th Doctor, Ncuti.

So like… this finale is genuinely one of the worst things I have ever seen in terms of regeneration.

You not only kneecap Whittaker’s arc by making her death a vehicle for a ~big twist~ but you are also priming the racist shitheads in the audience to attack Gatwa for the sole crime of Not Being David Tennant. The same way Hallie Bailey and Kelly Marie Tran got attacked.

Gatwa should have been Fourteen. He should have at least been allowed that. Every other goddamn actor in this series has been allowed that. But it gets taken away from him because tHe RaTiNgS.

This is far and away the tackiest way to start the R2D era. By sticking something familiar under our noses and expecting us to dance for it while undermining the actors who came before and after. What the fuck.

jodie’s final moments as the doctor were gorgeous. basking in that shining sunlight, appreciating everything she’s been through, finding the strength to be optimistic about what comes next. a beautiful, hopeful end to her doctor.

i think it would’ve been so perfect to have that lovely moment be what introduced us to ncuti’s doctor.

Ok hear me out but if 13 the very first female doctor on the show regenerates into 10. A white straight middle aged man instead of 14 the first black male doctor that is also gay according to Neil Patrick Harris. Surely that’s a step back? It’s also favouring 10 and his 60th anniversary rather than showing 13 regenerating into 14. To me that seems like a big fuck you to 13 and 14 not allowing them to have the proper ending and starting that the show has always had.

the fact that many official sources are already referring to ncuti gatwa as the 15th doctor is actually pissing me off. not only did he get denied a traditional passing of the torch, he got booted out of his spot as the 14th by david tennant??? why is this allowed.
