Remember when Google's April Fool's Day prank one day was a "mic drop" button but instead of just doing a joke they actually added, to every user's compose window, a button right next to the send button that would tack on a Minions mic drop gif and then hide all future emails from them? With no disclaimer it was an April Fool's Day joke? Remember when they disabled it in a matter of hours bc shockingly it turned out this lead to misclicks making people furious, with multiple accounts of people getting fired over, seemingly, sending rude gifs to people & then ignoring all communication? Which they hadn't considered at all while programming in the "make people angry for no reason" button

Was Google under the impression anyone sending email at 9 AM is chillin with the boys. Did they forget email is mainly for business and official communication now. What was the thought process

on pc if you hover the mouse over the boop button it'll say super boop and you'll see three paws booping instead of one
