NEWS: A new Tezuka themed gashapon set has been revealed. This set, called "Osamu Tezuka character sitting," will be produced by Bandai. This set will release in Japan sometime in September of this year.

NEWS: Two new sofubi figures have been revealed and will be available at the Osamu Tezuka manga museum and Tokyo Atom shop next week. Sofubi figures of Black Jack and Tamami from Phoenix will be available to purchase on August 18th.

NEWS: An unexpected collaboration between Tezuka Productions and perfume company Fairy Tail to make a line of Black Jack themed designer perfumes has been revealed. These perfumes will be released in Japan on June 11th.
If you're curious as to what the smells are: Black Jack's perfume smells of "a powerful chypre note with a mix of a gorgeous floral bouquet", Pinoko's perfume smells of "a refreshing floral note", and Kiriko's perfume smells of "a smokey aroma".
Please excuse these vague descriptions, as this is the information the official Tezuka page gives out.

Osamu Tezuka world entertainment square Black Jack Christmas postcard (2003)
On this day, fifty years ago, Black Jack by Osamu Tezuka began publication in Weekly Shōnen Champion. Lasting for 25 volumes and having 243 chapters, the series went on to become one of Osamu Tezuka's most famous works. It has roughly sold 50 million copies worldwide, and was awarded Weekly Shōnen Champion's best manga of all time in 2020, beating out titles like Beastars and Cutie Honey.

I’ll make a proper post once more information has come out, but the official Black Jack Twitter account has been making cryptic tweets about a new merchandise set. They appear to be part of the Tomonui line by Banpresto, and they said three plushes would be in the set. I expected these would be Black Jack, Pinoko, and Kiriko, but to my surprise…
Rock Holmes is the third character!
Their tweets have been very cryptic and only shown cropped concept art for the products. There’s no actual photos of the plushes yet or no release date. If I had to guess, I would say these will be out by November 2023 to go along with Black Jack’s 50th anniversary. Again, I will make a proper post with more information once it’s released.
NEWS: Tezuka Productions has announced a collaboration with Sanrio. Their collaboration features Black Jack’s daughter, Pinoko, with My Melody and Kuromi. A line of goods featuring the three of them will be released on the online Avail shopping site on June 17th.
This isn’t the first time Tezuka productions has had interactions with Sanrio. In 1976, Osamu Tezuka created Unico for Sanrio. He produced a short manga series with the character, which was published in Sanrio’s magazine Lyrica. He later got two movies in 1981 and 1983. After Tezuka’s passing in 1989, Sanrio gave the rights of Unico back to Tezuka productions. This is why any Unico merchandise made between 1976-1989 has a Sanrio and Tezuka Productions copyright, while modern Unico merchandise solely has the Tezuka Productions copyright.

NEWS: A large set of new Black Jack merchandise has been released. Unfortunately, these new items are part of an online lottery. You have to buy a ticket, and you will get one random item with nothing guaranteed. This lottery goes live on December 15th and close February 14th 2023.
If you do want a specific item, I would suggest looking for people reselling them on sites like Yahoo Japan Auctions. One ticket for one roll in the lottery is a bit expensive.
