It’s the rule that if there are two characters in a scene— be it a movie, comic, tiktok, etc— there’s an invisible plane that the characters are on that the camera should only ever be on one side of.
aka, Character A should always be on the left side and Character B should always be on the right side.
It’s something that a lot of people understand intuitively without ever formally learning it, but it also means a lot of people aren’t really learning it.
here, the 180 rule is broken intentionally for comedic effect! Even to someone that’s never Learned the rule, the change is jarring enough that’s it’s really obvious they switch sides (which is good because it’s the punchline)

For anyone who doesn't want to watch the video, he used a list of things from Wikidata, pared it down to about 8000 things that most people would have heard of, and made a website where people voted for the best option in randomly selected pairs of things.
Pizza was voted the 9th best thing, making it the best food. Bees weren't in the top 10 best things, but they won 77% of matchups to be selected as the best creature, followed by emperor penguins and hedgehogs. Bisexuality didn't place in the top 10 either, but it won 73% of matchups compared to heterosexuality winning only 45%. (Orgasms were the highest ranked sexual thing, and were miraculously ranked at number 69.) I think the windmill is supposed to stand for electricity, which was the second place winner. And the winner of "best thing" was sleep.

I’d recommend watching Jaiden Animations newest video! It’s all about aromanticism and asexuality (mostly aromanticism) and I found myself relating to it an awful lot. It’s honestly so validating to see a person I’ve been watching content of for years come out as aroace and I feel seen for once. I think she explains the basics of it very well and tackles amatonormativity and some misconceptions. And I’m also really glad to see an aroace person clearly separate the aro from ace while validating both sides ngl. I hope all the allos watching her content will be educated lol

That video was hilarious while also making me realize that after having a few years of being taught how to play the piano as a kid and being in band for all 3 years of middle school (first year flute, other 2 years were alto sax), I have no fucking idea how to properly read sheet music.
As someone who can read sheet music, dont bother learning, it’s a curse. Because of the this horrible gift, I have no ear for music, you can play a note and wouldn’t even be able to guess what it was without at least 7 tries
