Idk about the timeline, but I can’t help but feel like that could have been Nami’s birth mother in the frame. Like maybe her father was a pirate and had this picture when he went to a Sky Island? 
I mean Nami is associated with Sky Islands (how she can ride the waver best and how she trained on Weatheria which was a sky island)… I’m not saying she was born on a sky island, but … Idk what I’m saying all I know is that I just really hope we get to learn more about Nami. 
Like what happened to the village where she was born? And why did the Navy have to come? She’s obviously no ordinary navigator, so were her parents also navigators? 
I’d love to explore Nami’s character more and I hope we do in the future! 🧡

ZoNa Valentine’s Week: Day 4 Why I Ship ZoNa: Part 1

So because i’ve never explained why I ship ZoNa, I’ve decided to use this Valentine’s Week as an excuse to make 3 separate posts on why I ship them. 

 They will be long posts because I am relying on the gifs I made of the anime rather than the manga (even though the manga may be more accurate, but I just started reading the manga so give me some time lol)

Valentines Week ZoNa Day 3: Jewelry and the Number 3

I think this is something that ZoNa shippers have heard before, but just in case someone hasn’t, let me enlighten you for a bit.

The similarity is making me want to hide under a blanket and never come out.

Whenever I write, I always like my characters names to mean something significant and to somehow relate to their personalities and the story. So I was interested to know the meaning behind my OP OTPs name’s and uhhh can we... just...look...please?

Nami means “wave” which makes sense because she’s a navigator and needs to know the ocean and all that good stuff, but like Zoro’s name?

His characters are comprised of the two traits that Nami is associated with. “Sky” for her ability to manipulate the weather and “path” for her navigation skills.

Maybe it was for irony since Zoro is literally the worst with directions, but doesn’t that make it even more beautiful that the character for “zo” may be associated with Nami? Kind of like a yin-yang thing going on?

I’m probably overreacting and Oda probably just chose Zoro’s name because he liked it or for a different reason altogether, but siiiigh I’m so desperate for ZoNa.

Long Post ahead!

Am I the only one who was reminded of Nami and Zoro’s relationship while watching this scene between Mansherry and Leo?? I mean especially that first gif like that is basically what went down in Alabasta, you can’t tell me otherwise😂

And the fact that, even though Mansherry gets like this with Leo and she may have a difficult-to-deal-with personality, it doesn’t mean that the other party doesn’t care for them. Leo still listens and cares about Mansherry. It’s all similar to how Zoro treats Nami and vice versa. 

Zoro isn’t afraid to call her out or yell at her and Nami isn’t either. They may scream and get short tempered with each other, but life is about balance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  For all their arguments, there is always an instance that shows their dependence, trust, belief, and closeness with one another. Beyond all of their disagreements, Nami and Zoro still care deeply about each other which is the only thing that matters. 🧡💚

The Sails of LawNa Have Unfurled

Now I am a ZoNa shipper 100% and they will always be my #1 OTP, but after watching Punk Hazard and most of Dressrosa (I’m about 40 episodes away from finishing the arc) all I can say is that I would totally be okay with Law x Nami together. 

Here are the Law x Nami moments (from Punk Hazard and Dressrosa arcs) that made me want to ship them.

Their first encounter after 2 years obviously started off on the wrong foot.

But after knowing they will be in an alliance together, and Law helping the children that Nami was very passionate about saving, she starts to slowly trust him. Not to mention she comes to the rescue of everyone. (rolls eyes at everyone who says Nami is useless) 

Also them just standing close to each other...tee-hee

Personally, this ⤵️is the scene where I started to low key ship Law x Nami. Law could have sat literally anywhere, but he sat next to Nami. Also since he was the last one in the room you have to think that Nami held that seat for him 😏 

Now I’ve heard this ⤵️is the scene where a lot of LawNa shippers begin to ship them and I’ll admit it also solidified the ship for me too. Law was specifically thinking about Nami answering despite that the others- Brook, Sanji, and Chopper- were on the ship as well.  

And I think this scene, in conjunction with the above, really highlights the fact that Law believes in Nami. Like it literally could have just been a rumble of thunder, but Law’s thoughts go straight to Nami and her abilities. It shows his trust in Nami that she would come through for him.  

I think this ⤵️scene is more so Law, yet again, placing his trust in Nami, but I think this time it is explicitly as a navigator. He believes that Nami can get to Zou using her skills as a navigator. But I do think it’s important to note that the other members were around and if he wanted to, Law could have easily given the card to someone else who would be on the ship. 

Oh.... and just more scenes where they’re close to each other 

Conclusion: Considering I’m not even finished Dressrosa, I don’t know if they have many more interactions afterwards, but I’m hopeful and I think their relationship will continue to grow. From what I’ve seen so far I think it’s obvious that the two have similar backgrounds that contribute to who they are today and could potentially lead to a mutual understanding and relationship later on. I also believe (despite the rough beginning) that the two trust each other fully and are comfortable around one another (I feel like the comfortableness is like 7/10. I mean they always seem to gravitate towards each other). I’m excited to see more of Law and Nami’s interactions, but also Law and the Straw Hat Crew’s interactions in episodes to come!

ZoNa in One Piece: Z

Well for starters there’s this scene that made my heart so happy- the fact that it was Nami who went to Zoro instead of to Sanji.

And look at how close they are in this one 😳She’s leaning in to Zoro and my feels are just tbdfsapoiw

Then here, Zoro’s face when she splits them apart 😂He looks so done, but also he knew it was coming, he’s used to it ;) also more ZoNa touching, who doesn’t love it?!

And the last one... when Zoro asks Nami to guide them. Usually she just gives orders and everyone follows, but this time Zoro, who usually doesn’t like taking orders (besides from Nami ofc) is asking her to give orders. It shows the trust and faith he has in Nami as a navigator and I love it 💚🧡
