The (only) ZoNa moments in Dressrosa

Here’s like the only ZoNa-ish moment in the Dressrosa arc.

Look at Zoro being all worried about Nami (....and the other members but shhh all that matters is that Nami’s name is mentioned first)

Yes Sanji, Zoro wanted to go save his (girl)friend. Siiiiigh if only Zoro actually did go then we wouldn’t be starved of ZoNa moments. I understand why Zoro had to stay in Dressrosa because it made the most sense plot wise. But I still have my imagination mwaha. 

Sanji.... don’t pretend like you weren’t off with Violet flirting and daydreaming 🙄 Also this gif would be better with sound because to me it seems that when Zoro says “Alright! Go!” he’s actually kind of annoyed that Sanji is going instead of him. But that’s probably just me reading waaaaay to into the situation, but anything that seems remotely ZoNa, I’m going for it.

I know now, after the Dressrosa arc, is when the ZoNa moments start dwindling down, so I will be taking what I can get!! 🧡💚

Am I the only one who was reminded of Nami and Zoro’s relationship while watching this scene between Mansherry and Leo?? I mean especially that first gif like that is basically what went down in Alabasta, you can’t tell me otherwise😂

And the fact that, even though Mansherry gets like this with Leo and she may have a difficult-to-deal-with personality, it doesn’t mean that the other party doesn’t care for them. Leo still listens and cares about Mansherry. It’s all similar to how Zoro treats Nami and vice versa. 

Zoro isn’t afraid to call her out or yell at her and Nami isn’t either. They may scream and get short tempered with each other, but life is about balance ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  For all their arguments, there is always an instance that shows their dependence, trust, belief, and closeness with one another. Beyond all of their disagreements, Nami and Zoro still care deeply about each other which is the only thing that matters. 🧡💚

The Sails of LawNa Have Unfurled

Now I am a ZoNa shipper 100% and they will always be my #1 OTP, but after watching Punk Hazard and most of Dressrosa (I’m about 40 episodes away from finishing the arc) all I can say is that I would totally be okay with Law x Nami together. 

Here are the Law x Nami moments (from Punk Hazard and Dressrosa arcs) that made me want to ship them.

Their first encounter after 2 years obviously started off on the wrong foot.

But after knowing they will be in an alliance together, and Law helping the children that Nami was very passionate about saving, she starts to slowly trust him. Not to mention she comes to the rescue of everyone. (rolls eyes at everyone who says Nami is useless) 

Also them just standing close to each other...tee-hee

Personally, this ⤵️is the scene where I started to low key ship Law x Nami. Law could have sat literally anywhere, but he sat next to Nami. Also since he was the last one in the room you have to think that Nami held that seat for him 😏 

Now I’ve heard this ⤵️is the scene where a lot of LawNa shippers begin to ship them and I’ll admit it also solidified the ship for me too. Law was specifically thinking about Nami answering despite that the others- Brook, Sanji, and Chopper- were on the ship as well.  

And I think this scene, in conjunction with the above, really highlights the fact that Law believes in Nami. Like it literally could have just been a rumble of thunder, but Law’s thoughts go straight to Nami and her abilities. It shows his trust in Nami that she would come through for him.  

I think this ⤵️scene is more so Law, yet again, placing his trust in Nami, but I think this time it is explicitly as a navigator. He believes that Nami can get to Zou using her skills as a navigator. But I do think it’s important to note that the other members were around and if he wanted to, Law could have easily given the card to someone else who would be on the ship. 

Oh.... and just more scenes where they’re close to each other 

Conclusion: Considering I’m not even finished Dressrosa, I don’t know if they have many more interactions afterwards, but I’m hopeful and I think their relationship will continue to grow. From what I’ve seen so far I think it’s obvious that the two have similar backgrounds that contribute to who they are today and could potentially lead to a mutual understanding and relationship later on. I also believe (despite the rough beginning) that the two trust each other fully and are comfortable around one another (I feel like the comfortableness is like 7/10. I mean they always seem to gravitate towards each other). I’m excited to see more of Law and Nami’s interactions, but also Law and the Straw Hat Crew’s interactions in episodes to come!

ZoNa in One Piece: Z

Well for starters there’s this scene that made my heart so happy- the fact that it was Nami who went to Zoro instead of to Sanji.

And look at how close they are in this one 😳She’s leaning in to Zoro and my feels are just tbdfsapoiw

Then here, Zoro’s face when she splits them apart 😂He looks so done, but also he knew it was coming, he’s used to it ;) also more ZoNa touching, who doesn’t love it?!

And the last one... when Zoro asks Nami to guide them. Usually she just gives orders and everyone follows, but this time Zoro, who usually doesn’t like taking orders (besides from Nami ofc) is asking her to give orders. It shows the trust and faith he has in Nami as a navigator and I love it 💚🧡

Chopper and Law

Okay last Chopper post... for now. 

I love how Law keeps calling him “Raccoon-ya” and not giving two f’s (that’s my boi for ya)

Also not seeing Chopper’s hat (and antlers) on his head will be something I’ll never get used to 😂

Now for this ⤵️gif... bruh.

I’m in love with this scene because you can tell just how much Chopper trusts Law already (and they only knew each other vaguely and for a short amount of time) by the fact he is holding on to him. This means a lot coming from a reindeer who is usually skeptical and scared of humans. I think it’s because Chopper knows that Law is not only a good (and strong) person, but is also a good and fair doctor, that makes him trust Law so easily.

Chopper and Zoro

Going along with my Chopper theme. There’s nothing super special about this moment, I just really like it. Especially my last gif lol. You can tell that Zoro is comfortable enough to bicker? threaten? Chopper (in the friendliest ways of course) Anyyyyway, I had to throw in this moment at Water 7. 

Also for my ZoNa fans... doesn’t Nami look a bit worried for Zoro? Teehee.... But I guess anyone would be worried if a reindeer was suffocating you. O_O

Chopper and Nami

This is one of my favorite Chopper and Nami moments because I’m getting the letting-my-child-take-a-bath-with-me vibes from Nami. And Chopper is the cutest little reindeer child who can only think about cotton candy. 

He’s just like a kid, fascinated with every little thing. And I love the fact that Nami doesn’t even care that he is taking a shower with her. 

I mean.... look at him!! He’s trying to reach for the cloud that looks like cotton candy!! 

My heart can’t handle the cuteness that is Chopper.

There’s a headcanon that I love, and completely agree with, that observed how Zoro always sleeps close to Nami whether its on the ship or elsewhere, because he feels comfortable around her, and also he can be close to her if something dangerous happens... (excuse my high pitched squealing). 

Here’s just one example, but please feel free to leave others below!

Overlooked ZoNa Moment Ep. 527

I don’t think, in all my ZoNa/ZoNami searches, this scene has ever come up, which is surprising because to me this scene screams ZoNa. So I am posting this to shed light and share yet another ZoNa/ZoNami scene. 

So, the most obvious thing to start off with is the first gif. In this cut you can clearly see that it is Sanji who is reaching down for Robin. 

And in the second gif you see Zoro is the one reaching upwards. And just who is he reaching for? Seems pretty likely to me that he is reaching out for Nami. 

Now, if he really really wanted to, and even if he knew Sanji was reaching for Robin, Zoro could have glanced in any other direction to see the other crew members, but he chose to keep his sight on Nami. (Sorry ZoRobin fans)

Also I think it’s important to note that there is no Brook or Chopper or even Luffy (the other devil fruit eaters) in this cut which means that Zoro was specifically looking to save Nami and Nami alone.

And where it could be argued that he was reaching for the ship, this seems unlikely because at this point, the Sunny’s bubble had already popped, so getting to it wouldn’t have made a difference in his survival. And it also wouldn’t make sense for him to be reaching for the surface (I think Zoro is smart enough to know that the surface~and air~ is a bit too far out of reach at this point). And I highly doubt he was reaching for Franky. Leaving the only answer to be that he was reaching for Nami.

Now for the cherry on top, pay attention to what Zoro says as he is drowning. “Reach out”. There could be two interpretations to this:

1. Zoro is desperately telling himself to reach for Nami so that he can save her.

OR

2. Zoro is begging Nami to move or shift her body towards him; he is begging her to reach out to him, so that he can push himself one last time to try and save her.

Where I think the first option is more accurate, in both instances he is wanting, and trying, to save her. And while his hand isn’t directly over Nami or anything, I think it’s pretty clear that he wants to reach for her. You can see his desperation in his clenched teeth, deeply furrowed brows, and his eye in Nami’s direction.

Conclusion: Zoro, even when it seemed unlikely that they would survive, had his attention on Nami and his focus on saving her. And only her. I get super giddy whenever I see this scene because you can really tell how distraught Zoro is in this situation and how he wants to save Nami. It makes me fall in love with my ship all over again.

Ending note: I know there’s a lot of people who hate on shipping the crew members, so if that’s you then please ignore this post and go on about your day. And I know people have differing ships (and I respect that), but this is my personal favorite, so please respect that and don’t hate. Lastly, even though Oda says that there won’t be any romance, I’m hopeful and I would love to see Zoro and Nami end up together. I ship them 100% :)
