Repairing a ripped sail together while she stitched with a technique her mom showed her? Will insisting that she wear a life vest and she just “accidentally” tossing it overboard? And the day they see dolphins?! Like, following the boat for dozens of miles and Abigail names every last one? Or stargazing, when the wind has died and the sky has exploded with stars, where they invent new constellations together until they fall asleep on the deck? And the next day Will shows her deep-sea fishing and she suddenly catches a real life barracuda, which she decides to let go rather than eat for dinner? And where Abigail totally makes Will pull a Jack from Titanic and shout “I’m the king of the world!” when the winds reach nearly 15 knots one day, and Will’s arms are spread wide on the bow while the boat just plows through the water? Can you imagine how HAPPY Will was, sailing out there with Abigail for company and nothing else but the open water?
