been studying Blender as a possible option for making film backgrounds since the low-poly look might work for my film. here’s some cute scenes i farted out just making basic models.

I love Blender but I cant for the life of me use it. Hubby has tried to teach me and we get nowhere and we both end up frustrated.

yooo i had a lot of trouble figuring out where to start with blender as well so i'm gonna share some good links!

here is Blender Noob to Pro which is like THE unofficial blender crash course. everything you need to know laid out really well with lots of descriptive language and images.

and here's the tutorial that i used for the first image, also an excellent beginner prject that explains itself really well.

This may come off as arrogant but I hate it when non-artists praise “you’re so talented” and “you’re so creative!” when they see you draw.

First off I already know that I am talented, I didn’t need to be reminded. And it’s not talent that made me good, it’s practice. Secondly, just because...

you know what it is, from their point of view they're comparing your drawing skills to that of the general population, while you most likely compare your skills to the professional artists you look up to. so to them it looks impressive because the majority of people don't pursue drawing avidly. it took me a long time to figure out why i got so annoyed when people did this, but it's really a matter of comparison.

So yeah, because he’s coming on too strong. And I kind of get what you mean - in the beginning, it does seem like he’s clinging to her as she basically rejects him.
