Holy crap. I’ve always been a Batman girl, but it’s stuff like this that makes me understand why Superman is DC’s flagship.

With fans it usually comes down to liking one or the other, but I’m with you and I think that attitude is changing in general. I’m a batgirl through and through but Superman is amazing. There’s just no getting around that. I mean panels like this remind me of why he’s the moral compass of heroism across the board.

I could never not love this man, character, hero, icon. Screw DC. How is THIS not the most heroic act a superhero could perform in this day and age? So much is going on in the world right now, very little of it positive. I can damn well guarantee that no one in my generation would scoff at a hero like Superman if he was suddenly real. No one would call him dated or stupid or not edgy enough. We wouldn’t want to hunt him down or destroy him for being different. We’d be SO FUCKING GRATEFUL that someone is out there who actually gives a damn about US and not money or power.

The hell is wrong with this company? If I could have one person say to me, “I’m here to help” and not “your generation is spoiled and you’re going to fuck up the world” then I would be the happiest person.
