Forever making myself the Newsies merchandise I want to see in the world: Katherine and Sarah as American Girl dolls.
I need space-and fresh air-let ‘em laugh in my face I don’t care!
My first ever drawing of Katherine, compared to my most recent. 2015 and 2019. Not to say the recent one is perfect, but it’s certainly an improvement I’m proud of.
Moral of this post? If you’re passionate about something, don’t ever stop. It’s okay to think you’re bad at something and still do it. That’s all part of growing.
I’m forever grateful to the newsies and musical theater fandoms for not discouraging me at a young age. I’ve only ever encountered entirely nice blogs with good intentions, compliments, and words of advice. That’s so important to young creators, and while I’m not very active on here anymore, I hope that the environment is still the same for new artists and writers and content creators that venture into our little corner of the world. 💕
If you for some reason miss seeing my regularly uploaded content, you can follow my Instagram, which is the same user as the one I have here, horanhufflepuff. (I post more often on there lol)
Love you all,

give those kids (and me!) the brand new century and watch what happens
Jess is modeling her new Eliza Hamilton dress that I whipped up last night! I fiddled with a pattern I had previously drafted to get the bodice shape. I also covered six regular 1/4 in buttons to match the ones the original dress includes, which was literally the hardest part of this entire project. The rest was smooth sailing!
I love Sarah Jacobs and Katherine Plumber. I also love drawing them. They’re having a fun girlsies sleepover in this modern AU I threw together.

Uh,, never leave me with free time, fabric scraps, and a sewing machine ever again.
Here’s my OG American Girl doll from way back when, modeling her new Katherine Plumber ensemble.
Sarah and Katherine enjoy a snowy stroll through the streets of Manhattan. I like to think that my two favorite gal pals would be, at the very least, the best of friends after the strike.
Here they are walking in their own winter wonderland, taking in the sights and sounds of the city.
Season’s Greetings from the Newsboy’s Lodging House, 2018!
I wanted to do something a little different for this year’s holiday newsies art extravaganza, so I ended up spending 3+ weeks slowly doing this.
Reblog/reply with your favorite shenanigan that the newsies are up to in this photo!
