19. Why do you love newsies?

ughughugh I’m going to keep myself from writing a novel here

For one, I LOVE historical fiction, like a frickin’ ton. I also love the whole storyline, the comedy, the characters (and their backgrounds/depth), the fanfiction, the DANCING, and especially the music (Once and For All still gives me chills, man) 

21. What made you want to see the show?

Okay tbh, deep down, I’m a just history freak who really really really likes any music that Alan Menken has any part in so when I discovered it, I knew I was screwed. The first I heard of it was when the OBC did King of New York on the Thanksgiving Day parade a few years ago and was blown away but never bothered to look it up till a few months ago lol. I stumbled upon it again on Spotify one day, listened to the whole cast album, and then proceeded to look it up on Tumblr which got me into the hole I’m in now.

2. This one is really hard. I think I’d love to live in the kingdom from Tangled, even if I was just a random villager. The entire population on the island portion just seemed so friendly and fun-loving, not to mention the whole place was beautiful.

26. My mind instantly went to think about various fairy tales that haven’t found homes in Disney films yet… But you know what I’d love to make? A modern-day fairy tale. A whimsical musical set in the 2010s with lots of today’s pop culture references and technology. Social media princess, anyone? totally gonna go draw that now  Just imagine it: 

-Princess gets in trouble when her Steve Rogers x Tony Stark fan fiction is discovered by a gossip site

-She gets in an argument with her parents because she can’t get Starbucks to cater her birthday ball/dance 

-Cries over My Chemical Romance and why can’t Mom and Dad raise taxes and pay the band to get back together for my birthday, it’s not like the school districts really need more funds

-Movie’s plot and morals for everyone are established when she meets people online who teach her valuable lessons ("your country’s school system really sucks. Fall Out Boy came off hiatus, isn’t that enough for you? tell the teachers to stop giving their students so much homework, it’s causing a lot of unnecessary stress" and “your law enforcement people don’t do their job” and “equality. just go for it. you’ll feel better about yourself afterwards.”)

-The movie ends happily with her presenting her newfound ideas for fixing up the country to her parents just before her birthday ball. She meets her internet friends for the first time at the ball and they party to 

27. Being ‘friends’ with any princess would appeal to me… even if that dream is kind of cliché.
