But when the unflappable character sees someone they care about in danger, and the mask DOESN'T slip.

Because they understand they need to be calm and unflappable now more than ever; if it protects them, it will certainly protect the person they care about. So their voice doesn't waver, their hands don't shake. They don't panic. From the outside looking in, they're as calm as could be. They handle it.

But after it's over-when the person they care about is safe, and the unflappable character is alone-they completely shatter. Gasping breaths, sobs, barely holding it together because someone they love almost DIED, and it was far, far too close for comfort.

(Optional: Character that they care about finds them in this state and comforts them.)

I am 100% cooler with this knowing that the spear-thrower realized “oops maybe I shouldn’t have done that” and tried to make it right, and that the guy who the drone belonged to was cool with it

Rule one of fandom: there are some things that only exist for us.

Don’t send actors fics

Don’t give them explicit art ever

Don’t tag them in rpf questions or theories

Don’t try to bring them into fandom drama of any kind

Don’t hold them responsible for what the producers and writers decide

They’re still people.  They have private lives, which do not include fandom.

Some people really need to understand this. Stop tagging actors in fannish activities. Period.

I know some fic writers get stressed about writing tropes they think are too popular or overdone, and I need you all to know that I just spent 4 hours reading every iteration of the same exact fic plot I could find, and they all brought me an indescribable amount of joy. Listen. Listen. Sometimes you want cakes of many flavours and sometimes you want Nine Carrot Cakes

All the media makes it seem like Max exaggerated (yeah, you can apparently exaggerate a near death experience) and what's there to get angry over, huh?

An 8 months old interview gets unearthed just before where you fucked up, so that people can attack on Max and you kick back and watch it while hoping Max would say something to dig himself in. Then play cool by saying "Stop booing, because Max's mistake is in the past." What mistake? Like, existing beside you?

Then, this year you go and confess you didn't want to shunt Max's title rival and took the apex this time before going up to the press and saying this year was class racing, implying Max is stupid, carefully feeding the clever Charles/idiot Max narrative.

Yet, this year Charles had given you less space and even says he felt worried during that overtaking and kept looking at his mirror after passing you.

You are a piece of work.

Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc decided to have the cutest and healthiest rivalry in years. Thanks to them.

people who complained about max’s racing last year have 0 rights to enjoy this battle between charles and max. this is for the one’s who know real wheel to wheel
