Yooooooo if you need ACA get on that shit!!
I’m legitimately too busy and lazy to see if anything here is flagged. So if something disappears- sorry, fellas.
Small Tips For ClipStudio
I have some hours before work so I’ll use them to actually detail why I’ve found CSPaint to be so efficient for bastard-aligned painters who like to take shortcuts.
This will seem familiar to most of you guys, but this functions a little bit different from Photoshop. It turns everything you draw on the layer into editable curves, but retains the aliased smoothness of an ordinary raster layer. Practically a cheat to access the whole suite of amazing tools CS offers for lineart. Such as:
The vector eraser is The Best™. You can be as messy as possible and this tool erases the excess. One pen-flick and it’s done. Much faster than cleaning it up by hand. You can also tweak the settings of this brush to encapsulate more/less lines as you erase but that’s getting a little more involved. Anyway, last thing:
Maybe the only thing better than the vector eraser. There are multiple settings, but these three are the most handy. You can smooth wiggly edges, connect broken strokes, and tweak the width/weight to exactly how you want it. This also has a ton of settings you can play around with. It’s great!
There’s a lot more tools you can use, but you get the point! It’s a really good drawing program. I recommend it!
liketwoworms replied to your post “Clip Studio Paint is currently 50% off ($25 for PRO, and $109 for EX)...”
Is it a yearly subscription or one time payment
It is a one-time payment on PC/Mac, iPad is still subscription based
Clip Studio Paint is currently 50% off ($25 for PRO, and $109 for EX) http://www.clipstudio.net/en/purchase
Also! Don’t forget to update it on the 29th they added both audio in the animation function and a color fill ai
Americans, VOTE tomorrow
Can’t vote because you have to work? Check the laws in your state. Many states DO have laws that require employers to let you vote.
Can’t vote because you don’t have transportation? Lyft is currently offering rides free or at 50% off to anyone who needs to get to the polls. Uber is offering $10 off. Even many bike- and scooter-share companies are offering deals right now, and some cities (including Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, and Tampa) are making public transit free on voting day. And, chances are, you have friends who also need to vote, so see if you can carpool.
Not sure what kind of ID, if any, you need to bring? Check the laws in your state.
Not sure where to vote? Vote.org has an easy tool to help you find your nearest polling location.
Not sure if you’re even registered? Vote.org has a tool for that, too.
Worried you don’t know enough to vote? Vote.org will show you everything on your local ballot. Several organizations also have voting guides which will give you more in-depth information. Make sure you choose an organization you trust. I recommend starting with the website for your state’s ACLU or Planned Parenthood.
Don’t think there’s any point of voting in your Red State? Check out this horrifying map of how many people didn’t vote in the 2016 election. There are more registered Democrats than Republicans, but Republicans vote more. Yes, there’s a lot stacked against Democrats, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Here are some examples of lifelong Republicans saying they voted Democrat.
Don’t like any of the candidates? My recommendation to you is to pick the least objectionable person you think can win. I would never tell you to vote against your conscience, but I do still think it’s important to make your choice with the understanding that it has consequences. Trump’s victory margin was smaller than total Stein votes in key swing states. As for write-ins, know that your write-in could be equivalent to a vote for the candidate you like least and be sure you’re comfortable with that before doing it.
Reminders
- Voting day is Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Hours vary by location, but the day does not.
- Do not take pictures of your ballot.
- Do not campaign at the polling place.
- Make sure you have proper ID, if needed.
- If you’re voting electronically, double, even triple-check every vote before submitting, even if you have an option to vote straight ticket. There have been cases where this doesn’t work as expected. If you can’t find your party candidate, make sure to check the next page as there have also been glitches (at least in my state) that push the Democratic candidate after the massive list of independent candidates.
- If you’re voting on paper, check every side of every page to avoid missing any votes.
- And most importantly, offer to take your friends, family, or co-workers with you to vote if they weren’t already planning to go.

PHOTOSHOP
If you like these ^^^ lines you can use the brush from here (a tpl made by Jun Ling), one of the first 10 brushes in the list. Play around with the brushes and you’ll start seeing the others I’ve experimented with in other pieces :O
CSP/MANGASTUDIO
If you like these ^^^ lines they’re literally the default Textured Pen in Clip Studio/Mangastudio. Other notable CSP mentions are the default Bit Husky brush and Frenden’s 2B Real Pencil brush (used for this pic in conjunction with the Textured Pen)
That should be it, have fun ✌
How to put “wrote fan-fiction” on your résumé:
Leveraged an inventory of established fictional character and setting elements to generate a disruptive custom-curated narrative entertainment asset.
I worked in HR, handling applications and interviews, and if someone turned in that string of techno babble nonsense, I would have rejected them out of hand.
A resume doesn’t need to sound fancy or overly technical, it needs to tell us why we should hire you.
“Independent novelist/writer” is more than sufficient here. If you want to express the skills that fan fiction taught you, something like, “creative writing, editing, and publication,” will get you a lot further than… Whatever that just was.
A resume should be tailored to the position, if you can afford the time and energy for that. But if not, then just think about what writing got fandom taught you. How to respond to criticism, how to present a professional pubic face, how to correct punished mistakes, creative thinking, project planning, persuasion via emotional leverage, html formatting, office suite fluency.
There are a lot of actual, marketable skills that go into fan fiction.
