I printed out my book cover for my Jade cosplay.
Jonah and the Skywhale
A little little gift for the darling (adorable) VA on my VN project New Moon Cafe. Thank you for all your support ; v ; and for just being your amazing self ♥ Your enthusiasm is infectious and I couldn’t ask for more!
You can go stalk him HERE * v *
I just want to take this opportunity to say: Thank you to all my followers!! We did this shoot a little while ago when my FB page reached 30k likes. I’ve recently also hit a milestone with my Tumblr followers, so I figured it’s a good time to share these photos here as well!
I felt it was appropriate to celebrate with a Noragami cosplay shoot because I usually feel like a minor deity like Yato, but all your love and support makes me feel like I have a shrine at least this big! о(ж>▽<)y ☆ (These pictures were taken in our garden at home so no real shrines were disrespected in the making of these photos! Hahaha!) Yato : Jin (behindinfinity) photo : Reskiy (reshaydee)
Wild Season
[TL;DR? FUND THE KICKSTARTER.]
Do you want to play a Harvest Moon game where you can…
- Have same-sex relationships if you want to?
- Develop realistic and compelling relationships with all characters - whether or not you want that character to love you, hate you, or something else?
- Use farm automation options if you’d like to cut out the grating routine of farm work from your playtime?
- Join the council of your town and influence the politics?
- Use technology like cell phones to manage your farm and your relationships?
- Raise all kinds of animals, including penguins?
- Enjoy tons of festivals, including ‘mystic sacrifices?’
- Discover a deep dark secret that involves the entire world?
Unfortunately, right now there’s no Harvest Moon game in development with these qualities (as far as I know). However, there is a game with all of these qualities, inspired by Harvest Moon and going the extra mile to give you everything you ever wanted from the HM series.
Introducing Wild Season!
"The main character (you) lives in a big city! However, due to some unfortunate circumstances, you have lost your home and most of your possessions to the mafia. On your way home you pass by a realtor, and you see an amazing deal on an old farm not too far away. With no home and little chance to find somwhere else in the city, you see this as a fresh start! An opportunity to get away from it all. You empty your bank account, sell what remaining posessions you need to, and you buy the farm!
The sales associate gives you keys and directions, and before you know it you’re home, packing what you have left into your car (before the mafia throws you out!), and you drive out to the farm!
However, it’s not all smiles and roses, getting to the farm is not as easy as it seems, and when you arrive, the townsfolk are friendly but distant, the town seems to hide a secret, there is a dark feeling coming from the forest…
It really is going to be… a Wild Season!”
Here are some game qualities that I didn’t mention beforehand that I’m pretty sure are worth mentioning now:
- Intended to launch for PC, Mac and Linux as well as Android and IOS. You can also vote for it to be greenlit on Steam here.
- Did you watch that video?! Cutscenes! They’re amazing!
- You play as a male or female, with the option to change clothes and hairstyles (you should have seen that in the video. Did you watch the video? Go watch the video.).
- The art is absolutely adorable. Exhibits A, B, C, D. (Also Randy and Alexandra? I’m in love.)
- THERE’S A DEEP, DARK MYSTERY. I’m intrigued.
Don’t believe me? Okay, take their word for it then!
- Slim Gamer: “…Wild Season will have more mature subjects and storylines. Characters will deal with a wide range of issues such as drinking problems, heartbreak, and even crazy exes. Another unique feature will be the ability to work your way into town council and make crucial decisions for the town. Players will also be able to use evolving technologies to help manage their farm and relationships. Wild Season will also use a relationship and dating engine called the “Friend Zone Engine” to make developing relationships feel more relatable and genuine and less scripted and tedious.”
- Games in Asia: “What kind of game would blatantly tell you that it is based on or inspired by popular simulation game Harvest Moon? A game that offers more, that’s what.”
- Pocket Gamer: “As you can tell, Wild Season is as much about building up relationships and becoming part of a community, as much as it is about farming.”
What’s the point of all this? The point is that Wild Season is a great game that really deserves to be made to the best of Quickfire Games' ability, and for that it needs your help!
If you want to see all of the great qualities described become a reality, help out with this Kickstarter! Every little bit counts. Thanks for reading this everyone, and be sure to follow Quickfire Games’ tumblr for more updates!
Reminder: Over 1700 people follow this blog. Wild Season is halfway through its funding, but still needs £11,184. That’s about $18,200 (thanks google). If each follower gave $10-11, the game would be funded in no time. Every little bit counts! If you have any questions, please feel free to message me and I’ll try to help out. Thanks again!
