It was absolutely amazing outside! I was happy to see others out taking a peek as well! I hope it brings to you everything you’ve worked hard to manifest. 🌕

Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse ready! 💎💧🌕♥️ I’ve also got a Rose of Jericho started with fenster quartz, a spell candle my partner made going, I fed my ancestors and settling in now to do a tarot reading. Excited! 😍
My friend let me know this lighter exists. Cross stitch roses? Obviously made for me. 🌹 She even named hers after my SCA/ Heathen writer name. 😍 When I saw it in the store I HAD to have it. So thank you Chante for letting me know it exists! I wouldn’t have looked otherwise as I tend to use the long necked lighters. I’m charging it to awaken and fuel the magic to empower myself and my creativity whenever I turn the wheel to spark the flame. It has yet to be named but I can feel it forming at the tip of my tongue. Like a spoonful of warm honey. I can see it and feel it but it’s still working through the thick liquid to take shape. 🍯
I finally started working in my tarot tracker book tonight. 7 days into the year. 😅 I kept finding myself excited and willing to do the physical work but couldn’t. I cleansed and blessed my cards, read part of my workbook, looked at informational posts online, wish listed yarn to make a card bag and tried to decide on an altar cloth, purchased new pens to write with ease, etc. Still, I never got down to the actual nitty gritty. I found myself drained from the day and letting my emotions rule me. When I did the math to find my card of the year it was definitely fitting. My initial reaction from the imagery of the Temperance card was that you can’t pour from an empty cup. The book had more to say and what I know about the card expanded it. I definitely have needed to find contentment between the “all or nothing” attitude as my mind usually tries to hold onto. So here’s to moderation, harmony and unity in the coming year. ♥️
What is your card of the year? Add your birthday month number, birthday day and the year together. Then add each number. Making sure to reduce to 22 or under. The Fool is 22 in this scenario. Correlate it to a card from the major arcana.
How many of you are working more deeply with tarot this year? I’m typically awful with journaling type books where you fill in things as you go but this repeatedly came highly recommended. I have been wanting to better my practice so I finally requested it for the holidays. Gotta say...I’m pretty excited! 😍 Have you used this book? What did you think? 📚
The bangs feel a bit heavy now that I’m home but other than that I feel pretty good chopping off my locks. First haircut in 6 months. ♥️
Newest batch of embroideries based on my kids drawings. There’s a theme apparently. 😅 I’m so close to finishing up gifts except for a few crocheted items! 😍
Also, I really need to get a portable light box with the lack of sun here. 😅
Taking a break making items for the shop and working on little heartfelt presents with my kids. My almost 4 year old drew this heart and I stitched it up for her daddy. His favorite color is cobalt blue and her favorite color now is also blue so it’s a perfect little piece from the mini version of himself. 💙
Feeling really appreciative of my life tonight. One kid is sound asleep holding their baby doll we dressed up today. The other is watching “The Lion King” and keeps shoving the iPad in my face in excitement (thanks to a really late nap. Oops). I’m sipping on hot cocoa in one of my seasonal mugs and eating Snickerdoodles we made together from scratch while I stitch my eldest child’s art up for their dad. Feeling pretty good. ♥️ I hope you had a fantastic day! 🛌
Does anyone know of any apps/programs for lettering? Like when people stack calligraphy for wording on watercolors? Looking to work on designing by practicing and getting used to the flow. Already working on my handwriting.
My nearly 4 year old autistic child said you can see if “you a weetch in the inside of your eyes” then stuck her finger in my open eye. 😑😂😅💁♀️
She’s not wrong. I swear asd people tend to be so much more aware.
My eldest saw me stitching and let me know that this is round but it’s still not a full moon. 😂 I love her weird little bits of kid wisdom. This time last year she was only a few months into therapy and most of her speech was babbles. She’s come a long way and she has things to say. 🌙
First Yule present is done!♥️ I made an extra long (over 7 feet) velvet scarf using Bernat’s Velvet yarn in “Burgundy Plum.” It’s so soft and witchy and I love it. 🧶#notforsale
Velvet always feels really witchy to me. ♥️
I made black velvet scrunchies and black velvet yarn is probably the hardest thing to see when crocheting...but worth it! Also, I’ve been singing “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles for two days now. 😅 In love! 🖤
These aren’t for sale. Just fun to share!
EIGHT YEARS AGO! My shop will be 10 in November. 🖤 This was my first official logo (other than spinning wheel pics I found online) and I never got to use it because I couldn’t figure out how as you can see. 😂 Even with asking the artist for help. 😅 If I remember correctly I didn’t have the program needed on my computer. Still pretty! My other logo is from maybe 6 or so years ago when I had long black hair down to my butt and it’s a drawing of me with that hair. 😅

I love how many of us now are of the mindset that it’s never too late to learn. Or to revive a tradition or aspect of our ancestry or the place we may live (or both). The skills that may have been lost on our parents and even maybe grandparents don’t have to be lost forever. That with what we have available to us in this age we can do anything. We can be our own teachers for so much. We don’t need a grandparent to teach us to sew or a coven to take us in to learn the path we find ourselves drawn to or even a parent to show us how to cook for ourselves from scratch. It’s all there online, in libraries, meetups, etc. It may not come how we want it but if we want it then it’s there. It’s great if you have someone to learn from but for the rest of us it’s a series of trial and error building our foundations.
Random thoughts after I saw a kinda shitty judge mental post and I just can’t let it go.
