My daughter the night owl is awake so I'm reading the illustrated edition of "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." I am a huge HP geek and this book is even more magical illustrated. Playing with stains and glosses. The Odin God mask was an oil based wood stain that left a latex like texture and a stain far too dark so I had to paint it. The runes were too small to paint with what I have so I'm leaving it and will remake the piece without that particular stain or paint. The light switch is a water based stain that I can dilute as I wish. That's my first attempt and I'm glossing it now. Going to do a painted one next.
