I spent a small bit of time each day the last few evenings painting this terra cotta pot for Midsummer. It took a few layers of both paint and protective sealant so most of my time was spent waiting for layers to dry. I painted the Elder Futhark rune "sowilo" on it as I felt it was fitting for the occasion. Sowilo means "Sun" and symbolizes goals, success, positive life changes, health, victory, power, elemental force, connecting the the higher self and the unconscious self, cleansing and more. I will be keeping this inside (because of the baby Fern) to bring these qualities into my home. I also added a little Lemurian seed quartz crystal for more great energy. After the oil was lovingly rubbed into the wood to protect it the wood was then dried and added to this adjustable antiqued copper finished filigree base. The wood used to make this rune is reclaimed PECAN that was collected by my "Fairy Godmother" Leslie of "Blyth House Creations" in South Carolina. It was then sent to my home in California where I burned the rune myself and then treated the wood with a hand blended oil of my own creation.
