Magnolia Wood KENAZ Rune Pendant

I have made a few different "Pocket Amulets" of sorts for my etsy shop and am now making Rune Pendants again. You can wear it as a necklace, tied on to your belt like I do with my SCA garb or put it in your pocket so it stays on your person, in/on your purse, on your altar or in a space that you feel need the energy of the particular wood and symbol burned into it. The wood for all of my pendants and pocket amulets has been wild crafted by my friend Leslie of "Blyth House Creations" in South Carolina. She then sent them to the opposite end of the country to my home in California. These pocket amulets have done a lot of traveling! Once they arrived here I decided to burn into them different symbols to correspond with the wood used as closely as I could make it. This particular piece has been hand burned with the rune Kenaz. Kenaz happens to be my favorite rune and shows up a lot in my life. Kenaz can symbolize travel, knowledge, revelation/s, power, transformation, regeneration, creating your own reality, energy and more. Each rune means something different to everyone. You decide what it means to YOU. Magnolia Wood is one tree I have been unable to find much associated with. It IS good for fidelity, strengthening marriages and relationships, bringing love and finally is associated with purity. I personally find it a good wood to use when connecting to the god All of my wood burned creations have been lightly sanded by hand and rubbed deep with corresponding oils I have made myself. It measures approximately 1 1/2 centimeters thick and 1 inch in diameter. Please note that none of the pieces I make are perfect. I don't strive to perfect something natural and wild into something that looks manufactured and just like every other one of its kind. I love the character each piece has. Every "flaw" tells a story. This pendant does not come with a cord. Sorry it that is inconvenient for you. NOTE: I must say that this is for entertainment purposes only. Please read all of my shop policies before purchasing ANYTHING from my etsy shop.

Here is a simple yet lovely silver COLORED (permanently) copper necklace that I hand wove using plain wire. Copper is humanity's first metal and has been known to be magically good for being a good conductor of energy, to be used as an amplifier of thoughts and sending psychic messages/communication, in healing spells and rituals, and more. Many believe copper is good for healing or alleviating the pain of arthritis and rheumatic diseases as well as detoxification, circulation, increase in energy, et cetera. This piece is perfect for BOTH men and women! I wear Viking knit (I am a woman) and I am planning to make one for a male friend of mine. Perfect for a wide variety of people. Healers, SCA members, Followers of the Northern Pantheon (Heathen, Odinist, Asatru) and more. A lovely piece that large beads, etc can easily be added to. Viking knitting is a type of chain making done by hand and really was used by the Medieval Norse! I used 26 gauge copper wire and HAND WOVE every single loop. It takes anywhere from three days (working ALL the time) to a week or so to get 30 yards woven and it generally only creates about a yard or so of workable material after (even less with double weave!). This was a work of heart and determination! When I joined the SCA (sca.org) I received a blessing by meeting my friend Dana (THL Dubh Easa na Inishmore) who taught me how to do the Viking Knitting. She is teaching me many Viking crafts (You can find her on Facebook under "The Feather and Scale"). I owe the creation of this piece to HER. Thank you Dana! The necklace measures approximately 21 inches long as a whole. It is made using copper wire (silver colored) and silver plated materials. On this necklace there is a lovely handmade glass bead I chose specially while on a spiritual escape in Oregon.
