Sorry for responding so late and for how messy this but tada🎉

• childhood friends to lovers baby!

• when ace's halfway through sophomore year when she realizes she likes soda, but soda's busy with sandy and even if she likes him, he's her buddy, she isn't gonna mess with this

• and then they break up, it takes soda a month after the breakup before one day, he's watching two and ace joking about something and he sees ace laughing and something in his brain just clicks holy shit

• their dynamic doesn't actually change that much after they starts dating, it's basically just

"your my friend and I'm going to tease you and tussle with you but also we get to hold hands and make out after"

• I like to headcanon that ace works at the DX with soda and Steve

• soda and ace like to be all mushy at work to mess with Steve, they think it's funny

• this is more just a headcanon about Soda but his pet name for whoever he's dating is "dolly"

• okay l've already mentioned in another post that I headcanon scout from the 1990s show is ace's sister, but ace and soda LOVE each others siblings

• ace has a playful relationship with both darry and pony, she likes mess with pony when he's doing homework, if she has extra cash she'll try to slide it over to Darry, she calls ponyboy Mike after his middle name because she thinks it's really funny

• soda basically just becomes scout's big brother, he'll give her piggy back rides, teach her about cars, and occasionally snags a car mag for her

• they like to play fight with each other, both physically and verbally, like darry well come home from work to find soda with ace just tossed over his shoulder

• going back to them both working at the DX, they both like to switch their DX jackets

• The rumble power couple

• soda has one of his mothers old rings that he always keeps laced in with his shoes, he puts it on a necklace and gives it to ace, ace has a bandana she always wears in some form, she gives it to him and he wears it on his arm literally everyday

• honestly these two good for each other because they both can talk to each other about their issues

• soda is not a happy camper to find out about aces backstory

• their first date is too the county fair, ace wins soda this velvet stuffed horse he names Micky
