overly emotional Logan.? Like after so long being unavailable or unwilling to let himself be something snaps or a switch flips and the levy breaks and all the tears come so easily. Even he's confused about it, a little insecure, self conscious, that's weird for him, he knows that but he just can't stop it. Being in a world full of people that don't hate him and maybe being away from that endless violence for just a moment .. the prospect that finally he's not doing something wrong by even just being, anymore. oh my god. Crying to Wade on the phone and trying to hide it but of course Wade notices. There's a sound like a sob trying to pretend to be regular old breath and when Wade asks he gets a grunt back but the start sounds ever so slightly clipped, like it was punched out and and and and andjjfgff jjjxk;;;;l
Oh god, Logan refusing to believe it the first time it happens
Waking up all groggy and going to the kitchen and receiving a cup of steaming hot coffee smelling real fucking divine right now from Wade and he feels his eyes blurring with water, just turns around with a grunt and wipes the tears
What the fuck?
Off to the next week and he sobs seeing Mary Puppins sleeping with her belly out and snoring loudly enough to wake the whole building
Then he cries on the phone when Wade asks him if he's somehow allergic to chocolate (mutant with animal traits, gotta ask) or if that's cool with him for his birthday cake because 1) somebody is thoughtful enough to ask before buying, 2) birthday cake??
It gets him so mad at first, then he has to turn around and hide a tear streaming down his cheek as they watch My Little Pony or something because oh now that is just ridiculous Logan, this is a cartoon for fuck's sake, but he just can't help it
And he does catch Wade's discrete looks in his direction when he tries to evade him and hide his emotions, but Wade is oddly kind enough to not say anything about it.
Which doesn't help the emotional state because he's just very touched by the little attentions he's receiving all the time. Little details of care, like ear plugs (because the apartment is in the middle of the city, in a loud neighbourhood and Logan's senses do not mesh well with that), furniture rearranged ever so slightly (to give him space to hide behind when he's overstimulated), outdoors cushions put on the staircase outside (because his sleep is shit and sometimes he needs to just stay outside like a guard dog).
It all culminates up to the day he finds himself wrapped around Wade like he's his personal lifeline.
It was the best damn night of his entire life, and Wade's been holding his pee for five hours now and begging for release. The second he startles awake, Wade taps him gently on the arm, tells him he needs to go to the bathroom, will be back in two minutes tops and they can go back to the intense cuddling going on right now, and Logan just.
Weeps.
When Wade comes back, he's roughly pulled back into bed and Logan nuzzles into the crook of his neck.
"Thanks."
"What for, peanut?"
"Making me feel safe."
