The loving care with which endverse Lucifer treats Sam’s body…he’s perfectly groomed, decked head to toe in pristine white… a Lucifer who has won is beautiful and terrifying, versus how twisted and pathetic and smarmy a Lucifer who has lost becomes, how he destroys and mangles Sam’s soul over and over again, all because his vessel had the audacity to be better than him, the way he reveals his true colors post s5, there’s no pretense anymore, no lie, no reason to put on that pristine loving face, he lost, and there’s nothing he can do about it, nothing except tear at Sam’s guts and mutilate his soul and destroy his mind and violate him in every way possible, but the thing is, even if he had won, he would inherently be violating sam on the worst level. But he would have decked it all in soft words and meticulous care, and it would have felt good even though it felt so utterly bad. A Lucifer who has won is beautiful and terrifying and elegant, a Lucifer who has lost is ugly and terrifying and graceless. He isn’t bothering to dress himself up in Sam’s perfect skin anymore. He doesn’t need to. He’ll settle for nick’s imperfect self now, and he’ll tear sam to pieces using any method possible. “I will never lie to you. I will never trick you.” Thrown out the window now that he’s lost. He has no purpose for principles now, and he never will for the rest of the series.
